“Hmm. Then that’s what you shall do. I’ve been rather bored of late.”

“Bored?”

“Mmm. After all, no one ever comes here. See?”

A ball of fire suddenly appeared right in front of me.

It slowly grew larger, and then eventually, the fire took on the shape of a dragon.

The dragon then spoke. It was the voice of the underground king.

“You will fight me, human. If you wish to return home, you must kill me.”

So that’s what it wanted…

This fire dragon was likely some kind of double. And I could sense immense magical energy from it.

“I refuse. I don’t see what good fighting will do any of us.”

“That is not true! I am very bored! …I’ve been sealed down here for tens of thousands of years. And then you appeared!”

“I’m sure there are plenty of other things you can do! Besides, if you don’t like it down here, I can help you get out. We just need to use the Teleportation Stones and…”

However, the king of the underground shook his head.

“No, it’s impossible. My real body is sealed deep within the rocks.”

“Sealed? Can’t it be broken?”

“No. No matter how much I attack it from within. I even created this double to attack it from the outside, but it was no use. It was all that I could do to send this dragon to the underground city.”

“I see… That wall.”

Without thinking, I had started walking towards it.

“He-hey! Fight me! Where do you think you’re going?”

“I’m going to see if this rock is really that indestructible.”

“Don’t be foolish! Don’t you know that I was once called the Demon King of Hellfire!? And my flames were not enough! There is no way that you can do it!”

“Well, you never know until you try, right? Besides, we’re in a cave…”

I said as I headed to the wall in the far back.

The king and Borthion followed after me.

So here it was… It really did just look like an ordinary rock wall. I couldn’t even sense any magic from it. Was there really anything inside of it?

However, there was one thing that I was certain about. I could dig. ‘Cave King’ was telling this to me.

But when I raised my pickaxe, the king of the underground laughed.

“Hmph! What can you possibly do with that stick…huh?”

The wall fell apart under my pickaxe, and I heard the same voice coming from ahead and from behind me.

And right in front of my eyes, mouth agape, stood a very surprised red dragon.
