Realist Demon King – 2

PAGE 1

“As Goddess, I am not actually supposed to help you. But you are special.”

“I am honored.”

“The first thing we should make is a person to help you.”

“Yes. I doubt that you will always be here to help me.”

“Oh, I will be leaving very soon. Back to the heavens.”

“Then create a monster with intelligence. I have knowledge of the other world, but none of this one.”

The previous world. That had also been a world of swords and sorcery, but there were no Demon Lords there. Magic was not so easy to use, and you could not create monsters there.

I was a lord over there, and I felt that must have been researching something to do with opening portals to other worlds.

I remember being involved in some accident while researching a country called ‘Japan,’ but my memories end there.

And so I had retained knowledge from the old world and this place called Japan, but my knowledge of this world was close to zero.

“I understand. Then the first creation will prioritize knowledge. Do you have any preferences in terms of appearance?”

“No.”

“That was blunt. Fine, I will decide.”

She said, then added, ‘I’ll make a girl then.’

A girl sounded too weak to me, but I had already declared a lack of preference, and so I would not ask for a modification. After all, the monster that was to be created would be a private secretary type, who was intelligent. Strength was not necessary.

The Goddess said, ‘excuse me,’ and plucked out some of my hairs.

She dropped those hairs into a pot.

“I’ll be creating the monster here, but when it is your turn later on, just will it and allow your magic to flow in.”

“Does the strength of the monster depend on the strength of the magic?”

“Generally speaking, yes. But it is not that simple. And luck is involved as well.”

After she said this, the pot began to glow.

It seemed that the monster was about to be born.

“Statuses are not visible in this world. But there are exceptions. You can see them when they are born, and when you use a ‘Disclosure’ spell.”

“How convenient.”

“You will be able to see their rank, fighting ability, and main skills. But you cannot see the statuses of Demon Kings and advanced classes and other special beings.”

The Goddess warned, and then smoke began to rise from the pot. Numbers and letters were projected onto the smoke.

“It will be displayed now.”

I looked at the letters and numbers.

Name: None

Rarity: Legend Rare ☆☆☆☆☆

Race: Monster

Job: Demon King’s Secretary

Fighting Ability: 121

Skills: Secretary, Maid, Knowledge, Loyalty, Aid, Strategy, Politics

As soon as the words ‘Rarity’ popped up, the Goddess started to jump with joy.

“It’s a Legend Rare! You hit the jackpot with this one.”

She said in pure bliss.

Apparently, the monster that was about to come out was incredibly rare.

I supposed it was a good thing, but I did not get very excited. Instead, I stood and waited for this secretary to materialize into this world.

  1. Thank you for the chapter~

Interesting, first the MC says he only has general knowledge and nothing specific, but now he remembers his research into Japan… I wonder, if the author is going to take the route of having the MC fight his way with a modern japanese mindset as a basis or whether the MC gets his own set of morals and beliefs fit for a person from a world of swords and magic (or in other words not modern Japan) – afterall even when you research something, it doesn’t have to change your mentality…

    • it was the retarded author knowledgeless and laziness way of thinking.”oh i’m gonna make an mc that is realistic and looks smart, but what about the ideas that will be implemented in the story with the knowledge of modern world(which i’m too lazy to google and did a little bit of research on)?.. right! why didn’t i make the mc have just a miniscule of the modern tech and knowledge because he was a person of another world and did a bit of knowledge about japan? brilliant!! well done me!”

or something along those lines. seriously? this is like avoiding the generic mc from japan with covering it up miserably, and lets don’t mention this story is plagiarizing another story by making this story from demon lord POV.

btw i get the general idea of the story from nu,and so far it’s so spot on it hurts.

  2. Okey so lazy writing and forced “originality” of the author strikes?! What a bull! Theoreticaly without memories but is a realist. How can it be a personality without memories? But to make him close to readers the MC “studied” Japan? So MC will behave like a japanese and his orginal world will have no effect on MC personality? I wonder if that MC isn’t from Japan is the author way to dodge mandatory humility of japanese protagonist? So that MC won’t be a helot that oj every step deffers to the betters like is mandatory for japanese MCs?

    Thanks for chapter

  3. Thanks for the chapter, this mc can act more as Furious because both are from similar worlds instead to go as japanese personality…

  4. Wow, what a way to drop this story from interesting to wtf in a chapter. It start with him supposedly not having any memory of the past, and not long after he have some knowledge about his past. The goddess make is seem like making monsters would follow certain recipe and right after say that luck is involved too, and look at that he get a legend rarity right away… I will continue reading for a few chapters to see how it go, but I think this story will be no good, I expect now that he use past knowledge for everything and then stupidly high luck for everything, and most likely lot of “coincidence” too.
