Shatei Kyokufuri – 17

And if ‘Archer’ turned out to be a powerful job, then Shooter’s reputation would improve as well.

However, I saw no signs of that happening yet.

In other words, Archer’s reputation was not particularly good either.

After all, the stats were still unimpressive, so it wasn’t a surprise.

Getting more ‘strengthening points’ was a big deal, but it likely applied to everyone.

It wasn’t a strength that was exclusive to Archers.

While summarizing it like this did make the changes seem disappointing, it really wasn’t bad.

It wasn’t flashy, but I was definitely stronger. It was a standard kind of evolution.

And I had already done decently well for myself as a ‘Shooter.’

Now that I was at the next step, which was ‘Archer,’ I should be able to go even higher.

I would continue to increase my range and make up for the rest with skills and equipment.

No changes would be made to my play style.

“That being said, where should I start…”

I climbed up a tree and lay down on an especially thick branch as I watched the clouds pass by in the sky.

The wind was blowing strong and hard.

There were a lot of bird-type monsters flying as well.

Just watching them was interesting, as they had designs that were so different from reality.

Surely something with that shape would not be able to fly… And yet they did. And quite gracefully too.

It was important to find things of interest outside of combat, if you really wanted to enjoy an MMO.

However, the little kid in me was screaming for me to go on an adventure right now.

And it was true, I did want new equipment as soon as possible.

According to some information I had seen, there was a certain super rare monster on the field.

Aside from being strong, it would only appear in that one place when certain conditions were met. However, defeating it meant being rewarded with a whole set of armor.

A super rare monster…I liked the sound of it.

Especially since it dropped equipment. I would very much like to fight it.

My body was tingling with so much anticipation, that I shot an arrow into the air without really thinking.

Kiririririri…shu! Kieeeee!!

By accident, the arrow hit a monster bird that was screaming. And it came down with one hit.

It was a very large bird too… But it was still one hit…

Did it just happen to have low endurance?

No, that wasn’t it.

But I wasn’t sure what had caused it.

Perhaps arrows were more effective against flying enemies.

That’s why it went down like that.

Alright, time to shoot down more bird monsters.

They flew in every direction at a tremendous speed. So learning how to hit them would surely improve my skill.

Kiririri…shu! Shu! Shu!

Hmm. I was missing most of the time.

Though, the strong winds might have had something to do with it.

Kiririri…shu! Shu! Shu!

Not to mention that most of the monsters seemed quite smart.

They would escape into the clouds until I stopped.

Kiririri…shu! Shu! Shu!

Hmm? The arrow that went through the clouds hasn’t come down?

Was there collision detection?

In that case…

With low expectations, I tried using Warp Arrow.

In the next instant, I was up in the clouds.
