We finished preparations

“I know, Liza. After we return from Range village, why don’t you have a ride on Rahle as well?”
“I can!?”
“You can, Liza. Right, Rahle?”
“Kii!”

Rahle and Tilura nodded happily.
Tilura saw Liza as a younger sister, and Rahle liked carrying people. So everyone was happy.
Besides, by the time we returned, Rahle would be used to carrying people, so I would not have to worry about Liza’s safety.
…Not that I saw Sebastian as a test subject.

“Yay! It’s a promise then, sister Tilura and Rahle!”
“Yes, a promise!”
“Kii!”
“Wou…”
“There, there. No one said they hate riding on you or think Rahle is better. Cheer up, Leo. She is just curious to do something different. And she will be riding on you to Range village.”
“Wou…? Wuff!”

I petted Leo consolingly and she nodded with satisfaction.
Shortly after, the food was served on the table, and so we all sat down to eat.
As Ms. Lyra was traveling with Ms. Claire, it was Ms. Gelda and Milina who prepared the tea and worked hard.
It was nice to see Milina being able to do all of that now…

“Alright, all prepared. How about you, Liza?”
“Yes. Sister Gelda helped me!”
“Wuff.”

After dinner, I did my regular swinging practice, took a bath, and then packed for our journey to Range village.
As I would not be able to train for some time, I was extra thorough with my swinging.

“So, you’re going to bring that as well?”
“Of course! After all, you gave it to me, papa!”
“You really seem to like it. But…if there is something else that you want. Just tell me, okay?”
“Hmm… I don’t know.”
“I see…”

In the corner of the room, on top of Liza’s packed belongings, was her hat.
It was used to cover her ears. But Liza had taken a liking to it and always wore it now when she left the house.
She had kept it on in the forest as well, and it was starting to look a little worse for wear.

It had really been made as a temporary measure, so it would not be that durable. Besides, I don’t think they knew that Liza would be wearing it in the forest and fighting monsters.
No one would think that someone like Liza could fight.
As we planned to stop by Mr. Halton’s store in Ractos tomorrow, I might ask him to do some repairs on it.
I asked Liza if she wanted anything else, but apparently, she didn’t know.

Well, she had lived in the slums for a long time, so she knew little about what was even out there in the world.
I didn’t know much about it myself… Perhaps it would be good to visit the town more often and look around.
It would also be a good idea to help the people get used to seeing Leo.

“Alright. But if you see something that you want tomorrow, tell me, alright?”
“Yes! I can’t wait!”
“Wuff?”
“Leo… You’ll want food, right?”
“Wou!”
“Well, we’ll get some on the way then.”
“Wou!”
“Yay!”

While I couldn’t get her everything and anything, I still wanted to get her something.
I had some money… So as long as it wasn’t too expensive…
