“I-I won’t let youuuu!”
Fi shouted as he jumped high over the forest of swords.
But such disturbances meant little, and the mass continued to swing down over the little dragon.
“No way!?”
And yet, the golem’s arms suddenly stopped.
“The-the MonColo rules…de-dictate that Ta-tamers can’t be attacked!”
Fi shouted. He was laughing with tears in his eyes.
“ARGHHHH!”
Sheto slashed at the wrist of the giant that had stopped. The beautiful blade smashed into pieces of steel. Then he picked up a large axe.
It dug into the arm with a sickening sound. And the mithril giant had a new accessory.
“M-move back, golem! Wyvern! Breath!”
However, the wyvern opened its mouth and then froze in the air. As the golem moved away, the area of effect surrounded the monster kobold and the tamer dragon.
“Gutttooooo!”
While holding up a greatsword, Sheto ran. The star wolf ran parallel to him, and then Sheto climbed on. The wolf accelerated.
As the golem stumbled back, Sheto’s eye went towards the sword that was digging into the other side of its shin. And so Sheto leaned to the side.
Guto understood his intention, and rushed towards the leg.
Kicking off its back and into the air, Sheto turned into a whirlwind, and he swung the blade with its three layers of blessings.
“Eat this!!”
The biggest impact sound yet. He shook so much that he felt as if his brain would burst.
“Ah-ahhh…”
And the giant fell to its knee.
“You have to be kidding me!?”
“Alright! You destroyed that part!”
Fi cheered. But Sheto did not lower his guard as he glared ahead. He focused on the threat in the sky. And the movements of the Hero.
“Too early to cheer! Give me a sword!”
He caught the blade that was thrown. And with murderous fury, the kobold charged towards the giant statue.
“Im…impossible…”
The words poured weakly from Evacus’s mouth.
In the gazebo arranged as the duel arena, he fit snugly into his summoned throne.
As soon as he had seen the forest of swords, he understood what they intended on doing. They were going to continue to use those blessed weapons, as a woodcutter cuts down trees.
It would be doable against a low level golem. However, surely it would be no use against the most powerful mithril golem?
But beyond the mirror, when the kobold charged, and swung down after the golem had fallen to its knees, the iron dug deep into its collar. The wyvern breathed then, but the kobold slipped underneath the golem, and was protected.
“Tsk!”
He never meant to underestimate the kobold. He was quick and used strategies that involved traps. That is why he brought a golem, who was immune to obstacles and traps. As well as the wyvern, who would be out of range for an archer.
And yet, he was fighting like this…
“Sa-Satory! Hurry! Elixir!”
He could still heal. He had ordered more from Yesta than just the ‘Sage’s Stone,’ which could capture monsters. There were also items to heal the monsters completely.
‘Go-Golem!’
He took the bottle out of the tool bag and threw it towards the golem. However, as it flew in an arc in the air, a white blur shot out and snatched it away.
‘Nice one! Taking away enemy monster’s items!’
The little blue dragon cheered after giving the order to the star wolf. In spite of not being able to use magic or even fly, the thing was not useless after all.
He should have put more thought into this as soon as he heard that it was a subordinate of the dragon god.
While Evacus had done some research on MonColo as well, he only knew the basics so that he could communicate with Satoru.
He was not on the same level as someone who had experience with actually playing the game.
Not only that, but the small dragon was now considered to be a tamer.
The ‘Divine Rule’ was about creating special rules for the Hero. It was not about creating an advantage for just one side. Though, it would have been an advantage, so long as Satoru was the only one playing by MonColo rules.
But now that they were actually playing the same game, it was Satoru who was at a disadvantage.
‘Another one!’
The small dragon threw a sword at the kobold, which was promptly slammed into the golem’s arm.
“Sto…p…”
‘Awooo!’
Another potion was thrown, and the wolf stole that one as well.
“…Stop.”
‘Fi…!”
The kobold caught another sword and then ran up the golem’s arm.
“STOOOPPP!”
With all of the strength in his body, the kobold jumped up towards the golem’s head and…
‘Wyvern! Fire Breath!’
Satoru shouted desperately.
The hovering wyvern opened its mouth and turned towards the kobold.
An attack he couldn’t dodge. And there was no foothold in the air. If he was hit directly by the flames, nothing of the kobold would remain.
“Yes…”
While his engorged body shuddered, Evacus rose to his feet.
