Everyone was furious with Deurgo
“…So that is the jump spin…”
“Hmm. I could not move like that. But perhaps if I trained…”
Alfred and Nicholas sounded impressed as they muttered. Apparently, people had been talking about it.
“I saw it once before, when I was helping Ms. Lyra bathe Leo. It really is amazing.”
So Ms. Hermine had seen it too. Well, it took a lot of people to wash Leo, so Ms. Lyra likely had to ask the other servants for help.
“In…in any case, Leo. It’s about Volgrau…”
“Wuff?”
In any case, I quickly explained what had happened to Leo and the others.
Leo started growling angrily, much like Sherry…and so I had to pet her in order to calm her down.
“So that is how it is… Everyone is furious now. So we want you to deal with it quickly.”
“Wuff-wuff… Wou!”
“You will then? Thank you, Leo.”
Leo nodded reassuringly.
“Perhaps it would have been easier to do as Ms. Delia said.”
Nicholas said angrily. When we had told Ms. Delia of Deurgo’s arrest, she had said something rather extreme.
I think it was… ‘Why bother Mr. Takumi and the others with that? Just wring his little neck until… You know?’
I suppose being a beastkin made her a lot more sympathetic towards Volgrau.
She had made the motion of wringing a wet rag… It reminded me of the time she had killed a snake…
The eyes of a hunter.
“In…in any case, he was bragging about other crimes that he committed. And so he will definitely be punished. Don’t worry about that.”
We would likely never see him again after this was done.
And so it was best to get it over with as soon as possible. After all, there was more important business. Like Tilura and the Gift.
“Sebastian should be here soon with Deurgo… Ah, there they are. Leo, I’m counting on you.”
“Wuff.”
As we were talking, Sebastian came out of the guard house. He was followed by Volgrau, Sherry and the guards, who were dragging Deurgo.
For some reason, Claire and Tilura were with them.
I thought they weren’t supposed to show themselves?
“Claire and Tilura?”
I called to them.
“Well, Mr. Takumi. It’s just as you and Sebastian said. This thing is so troublesome. There is no point in such charades now.”
“I see…”
“So let’s get this over with. Once we are done, Deuro will never be seen in this town again. Let alone any part of the duke’s territories.”
“Hahah…I see.”
And so the guards placed Deugo in front of Leo, and Volgrau sat down next to him.
Deurgo’s mouth opened so wide when he saw Leo, that I thought he would dislocate his jaw… I thought he would start screaming and shouting again, and wanted this to end quickly.
Regardless, I left the rest to Alfred, who had done some research on the topic, as well as Sebastian, who was very knowledgeable…
Thanks for the treat.
