I heard some old stories from Ms. Lyra
“Everyone makes little mistakes, such as cutting their finger tips… But Ms. Lyra, do you really now know when Ms. Gelda changed?”
“Yes. I am not really sure when it happened.”
They were both from the same orphanage and had been raised together for a long time before coming to this house.
And yet Ms. Lyra did not know when it happened.
Hmm… But surely something must have happened to cause it.
“Now that I think about it… Back then, I remember there being a lot of talk at the orphanage. About romance.”
“What do you mean?”
“Oh, just gossip about who likes who.”
“I see…”
“Well, it probably has nothing to do with that. I’m sorry for bringing it up.”
Surely she wasn’t about to suggest that there was a boy that Ms. Gelda liked back then, and that was why she became clumsy.
“Now that I think about it, I haven’t heard you talk about such things, Ms. Lyra… Well, I don’t really like to talk about that myself.”
“Oh, I have little interest in it too… After all, there was little time for it. I was too preoccupied in thinking about coming here and working as a servant.”
“Hmm. And it created an urge in you to help and take care of others…”
Ms. Lyra looked a little embarrassed.
“Well, if I were to ever settle down, it would have to be with someone…who I could see myself taking care of for the rest of my life. But right now, I am quite satisfied with my position here.”
“Haha. Well, please tell me when you do find the right person, Ms. Lyra. I will be rooting for you.”
“Yes…thank you.”
In general, I did not like talking about such things, so I probably would not be able to give any advice…
Still, I would do what I can to help her, as her employer.
…Grrrruuuuwoooo!!
“Wuff!”
“Ah, it seems they are here.”
As we were talking, I heard a howl in the distance.
Leo was the first to respond, and she told me that it was Feri and the others.
We had told him to howl when he was close to the house.
“Uh, Leo. You go and greet them. And Liza…what will you do?”
“Wuff!”
“Hmm… I want to go with mama…but I did promise. So I’ll stay and help!”
“Alright. Well, we won’t be cooking the whole time. So you can go and meet the fenrirs later when we’re done.”
“Yes!”
As a Silver Fenrir, Leo was excited to go and meet the others.
Liza was clearly interested, but she had promised to help with the cooking. Though, I saw that she continued to look in the direction of the howling…
Like that, we separated into two teams and got to work.
Claire, Sebastian, and some of the servants including Alfred and Chita, would go out and meet with the fenrirs.
Ms. Jane, Ms. Lyra and I would help Ms. Helena with the hamburgers… Of course, Ms. Gelda was also with us.
While it was likely not a very long journey for the fenrirs, they had still come to visit us from the forest. And so I wanted to work hard to make something delicious for them to enjoy!
