The fenrirs settled in quickly
“While it does look thick and heavy, it is quite different when you taste it. I feel like it turned out rather well.”
“I see… So that’s why you served it after the sausages.”
“Wuff…”
“You don’t like it? Leo?”
The schnitz had been prepared for Leo as well.
However, she did not seem very happy.
“Wuff… Wuff-wuff. Wou.”
“I see. It’s difficult to eat… Even if it’s not like your typical deep fried food, it is still more oily than what you’re used to.”
“Oh, so it was not to good Leo’s liking…”
“Well, there is no guarantee that Leo will like food that humans find delicious.”
Apparently, she did not like the part with the fried breadcrumbs.
Sausages and hamburgers were pretty oily as well, but they were not fried in lard.
Ms. Helena looked quite disappointed, so the rest of us had to eat more to encourage her.
While everyone had different opinions, both the sausages and the schnitz were generally well received by the others. And so it was to be added to the regular menu.
However, just like Leo, the other fenrirs did not like the schnitz much either.
Though, Rahle had no trouble eating it.
As for the gravy sauce, that was popular with both humans and monsters. In fact, it was decided that the sausages would be served with it from now on when feeding the fenrirs.
Like that, the welcome party for the fenrirs came to an end.
The fenrirs must have been satisfied, as many of them were lying on the ground on their backs. They hardly seemed like wild monsters anymore.
As for the cockatrices, in spite of being full after eating the meat that Ms. Gelda dropped, they still managed to eat the hamburgers and the new dishes.
Right now, they were resting on top of the fenrirs, as they were unable to move.
It seemed rather brave of them… Lying on the stomachs of fenrirs they had just met.
Well, perhaps it was because they were so used to being around Leo.
“Hah…I ate too much…”
I was enjoying my tea while watching the fenrirs.
Now that they were resting, even the servants were more relaxed.
The servants in this mansion adapted so quickly…
Currently, Leo was curled up on the ground with Tilura and Liza, and also looked very content.
“Well, it might be nice to do these once in a while. And Ms. Helena was able to make some new dishes.”
“Yes. But I will need to be careful from tomorrow..”
Claire chuckled.
“We’ve been pretty busy the last few days. And so I think it’s fine to eat a little more…”
“Yes, that’s true.”
We only had one week left before the move to Range Village. And so we were very busy with preparations.
Both Claire and I were moving around the house a lot, and getting plenty of exercise.
Unlike me, Claire had lived here for years, so she had more things to pack.
Of course, as Tilura was staying, she would not be taking everything…
“These days, you are probably exceeding my own training.”
“You’re exaggerating now… Still, my feet hurt a little. I think it would be a little easier if I had those slippers.”
Well, while they were comfortable to wear in your room…they were not really a good replacement for shoes.
Besides, if you were nose used to wearing them, they would likely be even more tiring.
I had only thought of bringing them here as it might make cleaning easier.
“Lady Claire. I’m sorry to disturb you.”
“What is it, Sebastian? And Alfred?”
While I talked with Claire, we were approached by Sebastian and Alfred, who had been giving out orders for the cleaning and preparing the sleeping areas for the fenrirs…
