Day 113: It was rough when storms came.
Holy Era 6102, Month of the Moon Sheep, 4th day.
Weather: Sunny
Today, I went to the Adventurers Guild with just Ms. Noa.
Ms. Nico was making the deodorizers at the Alchemist Guild, so we would be acting separately today.
We planned to go and check up on her later…but I was a little worried.
When we arrived at the Adventurers Guild, there seemed to be some excitement in the air.
I asked the guild worker at the desk what was happening, and he explained that there was a storm rising on the distant sea.
And though the chances of it reaching here were slim, it would still affect marine transportation, which meant they would be quite busy.
A storm. A storm… If we meant to continue staying here, then we would have to think about that as well.
Ah… Could this be the reason that Soshio was being chased by those sea horses yesterday?
Now that we knew the reason for the commotion, we headed to the quest board to search for work.
However, there was nothing promising.
There were still requests to hunt Lemora, but… Considering the storm…
I would feel bad if Soshio got attacked again, so we better not do that.
So that left… Ah, huh?
As I was thinking, a voice suddenly rang from behind.
When I turned around to look, I saw a woman with blue hair who wore a pointed hat and black robes.
It was Ms. Shu! So they were back from the dungeon!
Ms. Shu chuckled when I looked surprised. And then she asked what was troubling me.
It seemed like they used this town as their base… And so I might as well confide in them.
When I finished explaining everything, she asked why we always took requests related to the sea.
Uh, because we came all of the way to a port town. It would be a waste to do normal quests.
Ms. Shu looked confused for a moment and then she burst into laughter.
Oh, you are so funny! She said. Huh? Did I say something that strange!?
It was a little too much, and so I had to protest. Ms. Shu finally apologized with a chuckle.
And to show she was sorry, she told me about a certain quest. It was to protect a fishing vessel.
A job where we would board a boat with fishermen and protect them from monsters.
Judging by what I heard, it seemed to pay rather well. However, the problem was that we’d have to get up very early.
It might mean working before the sun had even risen.
Hmm. It seemed difficult, but I was interested. I was grateful for the information.
After leaving Ms. Shu, I searched for the requests, but there weren’t any today.
That was too bad… Ah, we should go and check on Ms. Nico soon.
It was a little early…but it’s fine.
And so we headed to the Alchemists Guild. Ms. Nico was at the front desk and submitting the items.
Good work, Ms. Nico. Huh? Why are you so frantic?
I wondered as I accepted the money from her.
…Why is there so little, Ms. Nico?
Did you buy more materials and equipment!?
Hey! You! Wait! Where are you going! Stop running away!!
