The reason for going to the forest
Regardless, we decided that the matter of bedding would be discussed at a later date…
Shortly after, Alfred came and told me that everyone was settled now, and we were ready to continue the journey. And so we set off for Range Village once again.
As the fenrirs had worked hard to put out the forest, I asked Ms. Helena to prepare something delicious for them as a reward.
“Still, this is quite impressive, Takumi. Or is it Claire and the others who are impressive?”
“What are you talking about?”
Mr. Euto muttered while looking out of the carriage window.
Claire was sitting next to me, while Mr. Euto and Lugretta sat on the opposite side.
Ms. Lyra, Hermina and Johanna were now in a different carriage.
Liza and Sherry were still with Leo, while Tilura was riding Rahle in the sky.
“The fenrirs are carrying people. Claire and…the servants seem to be used to riding on them.”
“Ah, that’s what you mean. Yes, a short while ago, pretty much everyone in the house got to ride the fenrirs. So they are used to it now.”
“The fenrirs are very calm when Leo and Mr. Takumi is around. That also helped too. Besides, we were also around Leo alot.”
“I guess Leo’s effect really is great. Fenrirs are all but forgotten in the presence of a great Silver Fenrir.”
“Only you think like that, Lord Euto… The average person does not even understand the difference. Well…maybe if they saw both at the same time… Regardless, both are monsters that are a rank above the others.”
Ms. Lugretta said as she watched the fenrirs running.
When looking at both of them, you could see the difference. But most people did not have any opportunities to see such monsters. And so like Ms. Lugretta said, they seemed huge and powerful.
“Haha. You may be right. Besides, there were some people who thought Leo was a wolf when they first saw her.”
It was Nick and those other men who attacked us during my first visit to Ractos.
Volgrau was much smaller than Leo, but…they had never seen a Silver Fenrir before. A lot of people thought they were a myth and didn’t really exist.
“We met Leo first… Also, perhaps rescuing Sherry also helped.”
“Ah, the fenrir pup. Seeing something like that would make it easy to warm up to them.”
At first, Sebastian had been cautious of Sherry, saying she was a vicious fenrir. But she had quickly taken a liking to Claire when she woke up.
After that, she did some mischief around the house, but seeing how playful and innocent she was helped the servants change their perception of fenrirs.
“Well, I guess that’s why…”
“…”
“Huh?”
Mr. Euto said thoughtfully as he smiled and looked out of the window.
Ms. Lugretta also had a strange expression.
What happened?
“I didn’t tell you earlier, but… What do you think happened inside of the forest?”
“The forest? Ah, you were there to do something…”
He had heard some rumors in Ractos…
“There must have been something dangerous… You did tell Sebastian to ask for guards as well. Also, you made yourself invisible.”
“Hmm… You are half right. I’ll give you a hint then. That wolf… Volgrau, isn’t it? Why is it here?”
“Huh? Volgrau?”
Claire was just as surprised as me.
Volgrau was the hint. But we had taken him in because he was being mistreated by Deurgo…
