My Beloved Dog is the Strongest in Another World – 1367

We gathered in the grand hall

While we were talking with Mr. Ekenhart and Mr. Euto, the cooks finished with preparing the meal, and so we all went to the dining hall in order to eat lunch.

The servants and employees were in a different room and waited for us to be finished.

It had been like this in the other house as well, but it bothered me a little and I thought that I’d discuss it with someone later.

After all, it would be more fun to eat with everyone, including the fenrirs.

Regardless, after lunch, we then gathered in the grand hall.

Not just Claire, Mr. Ekenhart and Mr. Euto, but also most of the servants, guards and employees as well.

Mr. Haines and Rosalie had also come.

As expected, even with Leo and over a hundred people present, the grand hall still felt big and spacious.

“Now, Mr. Takumi and Lady Claire.”

Ms. Lyra gestured for us to stand in the front and address the people there.

It was just a simple greeting as new residents here. When we were finished, everyone clapped their hands.

“Mr. Galagrio and Ms. Lianea. I look forward to working with you.”
“Yes! I will do my best, Mr. Takumi!”
“You can count on me! I will do everything that I can!”

After that, I greeted my employees one by one.

“I’ll be counting on you, Emeralda.”
“Lady Claire and Mr. Takumi. I will do my best to serve you!”

Claire also spoke to Ms. Emeralda and the others.

We asked them to tell us if they had any requests or problems, and then the employees and children from the orphanage left the grand hall.

Some people would stay in the mansion, while others were guided by the villagers to their houses.

“Now then…should I go first?”

“Yes. I will…go later… That will be better for Takumi, I think.”
“Hmm?”
“What?”

Once the others were gone, I saw that Mr. Ekenhart and Mr. Euto were talking to each other with hushed voices. Upon noticing us, Mr. Ekenhart coughed and opened his mouth.

“…Congratulations on the new house, Mr. Takumi and Claire.”
“Thank you, Mr. Ekenhart.”

He took a step forward and bowed.

Claire and I thanked him back.

“Good. So…Sebastian. You can bring it now.”
“Certainly.”

Sebastian then brought three long items that were wrapped in cloth.

One was about a meter long, while the other two were about thirty centimeters.

“Father. Whare at these? They look like swords…”

As the items were placed on a table, Claire looked at them with a puzzled expression.

“Well, it’s as you say. It is my gift. As you can see…a sword and daggers.”
“How beautiful.”
“The decorations are impressive.”

Mr. Ekenhart removed the cloth.

As expected, one was a short sword, and the two others were daggers.

The handles and sheath were decorated. But though they were encrusted with jewels, they did not look too extravagant or in bad taste.

“This sword and dagger were made with Sherry’s fangs.”
“Sherry?”
“Kyau?”

Now that I thought about it, they had talked about using Sherry’s fangs for something after they fell out…

“Yes, I sent them to you, father…”
“There are not as many blacksmiths in Ractos, so no one was able to work with the fangs. And so they were sent to the main house.”

Explained Sebastion as Claire looked at the sword.

The fangs were filled with fenrir magic. And so they were stronger than most metals.

“Mmm. There is a skilled blacksmith in a town near the house. And so I asked him to make these.”

Mr. Ekenhart unsheathed the sword. It had a beautiful white blade that was the same color as Sherry’s fur and fangs.
