I explained to them about the tea

“I will tell you about it, so you can listen as you drink…”

I didn’t want it to get cold, and so I told them to drink the tea as I explained.
They wouldn’t know about caffeine, so I decided to start by telling them about danileeons.
It was sometimes used in medicine, but was not exactly like the other herbs I made.
Definitely not like Ramogi or Loe.
Well, perhaps it could be more effective if mixed with other things. But right now, it was not medicine.
After making this clear to them, I gave a simple explanation about caffeine.
It could be good for you, but could also have negative effects if used wrongly.
I had heard that you should refrain from drinking it when pregnant, for instance.

“Hmm. It is a little bitter…but nothing compared to the medicinal wine. And the smell is nice.”
“It is not that bitter to me. I…I think it’s delicious.”
“I…hate it. I suppose I could force myself to drink it…but I don’t want to. Sorry, Mr. Takumi…”

Mr. Ekenhart liked it, but the others did not…
I had tried it as well, and the bitterness was more wild than I was expecting. It even seemed a little sweet.
It was certainly easier to drink than black coffee. But I suppose it was too strong for them.

Some had been prepared for Liza as well, but after drinking it, she stuck out her tongue. She did not like the bitterness.
And so Leo gave her some milk.
That was fine, but she then stuck her face into the bowl and drank it like Leo did…

“Haha…papa, that tickles.”
“You got some on your face.”

I wiped Liza’s face and then returned to explaining.
If they were interested, they could add milk and sugar, and it might be easier to drink.
However, sugar was quite expensive, so they might not be able to drink it very often.
I then told them about the possible benefits, and their reaction suddenly changed.

“Mr. Takumi…please make more of this tea!”
“Indeed! This will be very popular with women! You should make more!”
“Ms. Claire…Ms. Anne…”

While she didn’t say anything, Ms. Gelda also looked a little restless and was looking at me with expectant eyes.
Perhaps they were expecting too much. It would really not make that much of a difference…

“Uhh, like any tea, it has to be drunk in moderation. Otherwise, something bad will happen.”
“What do you mean?”

I hesitated to speak about such things in front of ladies, but Sebastian had given me an encouraging look, and so I said it.

Mr. Ekenhart did sound impressed, but it immediately made the ladies less enthusiastic about the whole thing.
Well, no one wanted to spend so much time in the bathroom.

“That being said, it can be applied to any tea. You should not drink too much. Just one cup a day is fine… It was never meant to be very effective anyway.”
“I see. Hah… It is not so simple after all…”
“But it might have a little effect? Besides, Mr. Takumi made it, so I will try to drink a little when I can.”
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to. But as I said before, mixing it with something else will make it taste better.”

And so it was decided that they would drink a little when they wanted.
A cup or two a day. Otherwise, they would drink other kinds of tea.
