I would leave the cooking to Ms. Helena

Aside from how it would be drunk every day, it was also decided that I would use Weed Cultivation to make more.
If drunk every day, we would run out very quickly, but the others were looking at me with expectant eyes.
It wasn’t much of a hassle, and so I didn’t mind.
I suppose I would have to continue to grow it in Range village.
As for selling it, that wasn’t being considered yet. However, it would have to be delivered to Mr. Ekenhart’s house, and the servants over there might want some as well…

After lunch, the fenrirs returned to the forest.
The two had been excited when they heard about the hamburgers, and so I had a feeling that they would be back soon.
In any case, as long as Leo and the people of the mansion were fine with it, then I didn’t mind… Though, it seemed odd to have fenrirs visiting a noble’s mansion so often.
But Leo and Rahle were here…so perhaps not.

Once the fenrirs were gone, we had out final training with Mr. Ekenhart, who would be departing tomorrow.
We didn’t do anything special, but since we gained a lot of experience in the forest, the training felt more serious than before.
The basics and training that led to creating a stronger body…we continued that. But there was more direct exchanging of blows between Tilura and I.
That being said, we were using wooden swords.

“The taste of the meat will change depending on what you put inside. This time, it was eggs, but if it was just orc meat, you probably wouldn’t need it to make it stick… I think you make something where you can really taste the flavor of the meat.”
“I see. So there is a lot of freedom, and it will test your skills…”
“I don’t think you have to think about it so seriously. Also, there are different ways to cook it… But I will leave that to you. I never put that much thought into it.”

As Mr. Ekenhart would be leaving tomorrow, the training ended early, and I spent the rest of my time talking with Ms. Helena.
We talked about the hamburgers I had made for lunch.
But as I was not a professional cook, I could only make simple dishes, and did not know much about how to make variations on it.

“Ah, that’s right. After it was cooked, you poured some sauce onto it…”
“Yes. It was sauce that I had made before.”
“While I’m sure it was made out of all kinds of things, perhaps you could alter it so that it would fit a little better.”
“Hmm…so the sauce will also change the taste.”
“The texture is affected by what you mix in, but the sauce and other things you eat with it will also make a big change.”

But I would leave all of that to Ms. Helena.
Even in Japan, I would mostly just buy sauce that was already made, so I didn’t know how to make it.
I was so busy with work, and could not spend time on such things. Also, I was living alone, and didn’t care too much about cooking, even if I was happy that Leo liked it.

“You could also change the bread as well. And the things you put in between.”
“Things that would go well with the meat?”
“Yes… Sometimes, things that you wouldn’t expect end up being good. Of course, it’s fine to keep things simple as well.”
“…But I don’t want to be cutting corners.”
“Well, I don’t see it that way. As long as the meat and sauce are good, it’s fine if it’s simple.”
“That is true… Well, thank you, Mr. Takumi. I shall see what I can do, and try to make something even more delicious.”
“I will look forward to it.”
“Yes! And I will also think of ways to use the sooy.”
“…You’ll be quite busy then. Sorry for that.”
“Not at all! I am glad to be busy. To be honest, I was feeling rather stifled, and so this will be good stimulation.”
“I’m glad to hear it.”

Even though I didn’t know much, Ms. Helena appreciated it.
As for the sooy, there was some stored in the mansion, but not enough to be testing new things. And so we would have to buy more.
Still, I had high hopes for Ms. Helena’s work… It wouldn’t hurt to have more delicious things to eat.

“Father, Mr. Takumi, I got permission from Rahle!”
“Huh? Permission?”

After speaking with Ms. Helena, we gathered in the dining hall in order to eat dinner.
While we had breakfast and lunch in the garden, dinner was inside of the mansion.
It was a little too dark outside now.
…Though, eating by candlelight did sound nice…
