82: Hero from Another World
On the first night, I was so angry that I couldn’t think calmly. He said he was going to hunt me down.
I was desperate to find an opening and attack. But there was none.
Before I knew it, my surroundings were completely dark.
I couldn’t see anything.
And then came the arrows.
Even though we knew it wouldn’t work, they kept coming.
But then I realized something. There was a spark every time the barrier blocked them. And it was making my eyes hurt.
I swung my sword to get him to stop, but then I fell into a hole.
After that, I was getting tripped by vines set out…
And even though I wasn’t injured, it was getting to me.

How scary.
84: Anonymous
Psychological attacks. And I bet kobolds can see better at night.
It would be so annoying to get caught in traps like that, even if they did no damage.
85: Anonymous
I was wondering why you didn’t just use magic. So you ran out.
You must have looked so stupid.
86: Hero from Another World

>>85
Yeah, I felt like that. And so I decided it was best to stay in one place and wait for the morning.
However, I didn’t have any food or water with me. So that waas rough.
But by the time I rested under a tree, the attacks stopped.
Sometimes, some dew would drip down from above. But I fell asleep after that.
…Though, it turned out that the kobold had moved on to his next attack.
87: Hero from Another World
On the morning of the second day, I woke up with a tingling feeling. When I rubbed my neck, I saw that there were bugs crawling all over itt.
What I thought was dripping water had actually been tree sap.
They were going down my neck to my back, and biting me.
It was so gross.
88: Anonymous
Ughh!
89: Anonymous
That’s quite an attack.
Your barrier did nothing?”
90: Anonymous
I hate bug.
I would be dead at that point.
91: Anonymous
It only blocks things that deal direct damage.
So perhaps some bugs being lured by sap does not count.
92: Hero from Another World
>>91
Basically.
The kobold’s strategy never involved direct attacks, I think.
Had I lost to my urge to scratch myself, and taken off my armor, I would have been dead at that point.
…To be honest, that would have been for the best.
93: Anonymous
So what happened later was even worse. Were you tortured?
94: Anonymous
>>93
You have a scary imagination.
But it’s not too far-fetched now…
95: Hero from Another World
While I was trying to deal with the bugs, the kobold returned.
My magic was charged up now, so I was going to unleash it, but…
After talking a little, the forest was suddenly filled with mist.
I think he knew that would happen.
He approached me then, and stole my sheath.
After that, I didn’t see him again until midday.
On the other hand, I was really hungry.
I hadn’t eaten or drunk anything since the day before.
I tried some strange-looking fruits, but they were too sour to eat.
Just then, I noticed the smell of cooking meat by the river.
96: Anonymous
>>1
Why your sheath? Did it have healing power?
97: Anonymous
>>96
Like exalibur?
98: Anonymous
He was probably going to take everything little by little.
Until the enemy is naked. lol.
99: Anonymous
The meat sounds like another trap.
100: Hero from Another World
>>96
>>97
The sheath doesn’t have any ability.
I think he just wanted to make me tired. Because now I had to carry the sword in my hand.
By the way, the weapons of Heroes are called divine vessels. One of the other Heroes called his Excalibur. lol.
There were a lot of other embarrassing, cliche names too.
My sword was called Zephalis. That was pretty awful too. lol
>>98
Yes.
He just wanted to rob me completely.
101: Anonymous
Seriously? I was joking…
>>1 is a dude, right?
Just checking.
102: Anonymous
Obviously.
103: Hero from Another World
I’m definitely a guy. lol
Anyway, when I went to look, the kobold was cooking some meat. And so I shot a magic bolt at it. But I think his goddess was watching, and so he ran away.
I then chased after it. Down to the river.
There were a lot of rocks. He started shouting at me, saying that I was trying to cheat by stealing his food.
I shouted back, saying he was using dirty tactics like traps.
After that, the kobold disappeared.
I was still hungry and thirsty, and so I went into the water.
It looked clear, and I wanted to rinse out my mouth too. But then…
I saw bugs floating.
And lots of fish.
The kobold had poisoned the water upstream.
I then heard him say, ‘drink it if you think you can’ from a place I could not see.
104: Anonymous
How crafty.
And scary.
105: Anonymous
Guerrilla warfare.
Having your food and water attacked is horrible.
106: Anonymous
>>1
Raw water is poisonous. It’s filled with parasites and bacteria, even if it looks clean. Though, it tends to be pretty safe if you’re up stream.
107: Anonymous
I wouldn’t have eaten the kobold’s meat either.
108: Hero from Another World
>>106
I knew thaat.
Axel told me to boil the water first.
>>107
My skin crawls when I think about it now. But back then, I was just hungry.
I wanted to take away his food.
109: Hero from Another World
After that, he did not show up until night time.
As for me, I couldn’t drink, and I did not know how to hunt.
I considered using magic to hunt a rabbit, but the blast would turn it into minced meat.
Besides, I didn’t even have a fire to cook it with.
…It’s embarrassing, but I left everything to the others…
So in the end, I couldn’t do anything. And I just slept under a tree.
In the darkness, he returned.
While making sounds.
Like an owl.
I thought he was trying to annoy me so I would get caught in a trap.
I cut down all the bushes nearby, which he could be hiding in. But I was scared.
All he did was run around me and hoot.
I had no idea what he would do next, or what trap I might get caught in.
The hooting finally stopped. And then came the metal banging.
It was so loud.
And then he would alternate between the hooting and banging.
And so… I couldn’t stand it anymore. And unleashed a magic explosion.
It did not hit him. But the sounds stopped.
Things were finally quiet. Or so I thought.
I heard a hoot behind me.
And when I turned, I saw those eyes staring back.
110: Anonymous
Yikes…
I would probably have wet myself.
111: Anonymous
Sanity meter through the roof.
112: Anonymous
Is this a horror game?
What kind of kobold does that?
113: Hero from Another World
I was definitely insane by that point. lol
I attacked again, which he blocked with a wooden plank.
He found out that he could erase my magic attacks by using a shield and adding attack and defense power.
So he was getting up close in order to get me to waste my attacks.
I was tricked into doing just that, and was not able to use any more magic that day.
And then he kept me up all night with those sounds.
Then the third day came.
I was so tired, and had no energy.
He was gone the whole morning. During midday, I went down to the river, thinking I could get some water now.
114: Anonymous
Oh, dear…
115: Anonymous
No! Don’t do it!
116: Anonymous
What a dumbass.
117: Anonymous
I can imagine the results already. lol
118: Hero from Another World
Anyway, I went to the river and drank some of the water.
It was a little strange, but I assumed that my armor would protect me from poison.
The results…were terrible. I immediately felt sick and started to throw up.
I felt horrible until evening. I could barely even move.
I still don’t know why the armor didn’t work.
That was all that happened that day. The kobold… All he did was let me smell some roasting meat. I really wanted to kill him.
119: Anonymous
>>1
Your armor might be defective.
120: Anonymous
Maybe your god was stingy, and left out a few features? lol
121: Anonymous
>>1
There are some types of human food that, even though edible, contain trace amounts of ‘toxic components.’
So if the armor were to detect and block even those things, >>1 might end up suffering from malnutrition.
Besides, in a typical fantasy world, there’s likely a lot more stuff that seems toxic than a modern person would expect.
For example, amoebas and bacteria that live in river water aren’t toxic by themselves.
However, when they come into contact with stomach acid, they release toxins as a defensive response.
Probably, those toxins were neutralized by the armor.
Also, minerals in water can sometimes react with stomach acid. Foreign hard water contains a lot of substances like calcium bicarbonate and magnesium, which can upset the stomach of someone not used to it. Like someone from Japan.

>>121
I see.
It sounds likely
How educational.
123: Anonymous
Still, torturing the hungry Hero with food.
That kobold is a sadist.
124: Hero from Another World
>>121
You’re amazing.
I didn’t even think about that.
Now that I think about it, that makes sense. There was even wine that tasted poisonous. Sometimes Elka would stop me, saying it was bad for you.
In any case, I woke up on the final day. To the smell of roasted fish.
