Kamigami – 47 Part 7

On the other side of the crumbling world, the kobold pulled back on the whip and attacked the shield bearers. The magician also began to chant at the remaining enemies.

After seeing all of this, Shelban laughed.

He would likely die here. However, he had survived their attack.

One wolf getting through was not enough to stop the ritual. Without the kobold’s cursed bow or magic power, you could not get through the barrier.

He just had to buy some time so that the monster could be summoned.

“Gaaaahhhh!”

However, such hopes were dashed with the scream of the summoner.

In disbelief, he turned towards the magician Hero. Had he really, in such a short time, buffed the great shield, turned the three of them invisible, and also given the wolf the power to break through the barrier?

“Forgive me… Lord Berganda…”

After losing their commander, the rest of his subordinates fell one after another.

“We…underestimated the Hero’s…power.”

While feeling the summoning power weaken, the goblins crumbled with despair.

When he awoke, he saw a stone pillar that looked like a great crystal.

His head still felt numb, but the pain was now gone. He raised his head slowly and sighed deeply.

“You’re up, Fi.”

Sheto, who was sitting next to him, said with concern.

“Do you feel fine, now?”
“Ah. Somehow. Well, it looks like you were able to defeat it before the summoning.”
“Guto and Keita, did good.”

“…I guess, I was useless again.”

He muttered self-deprecatingly. And then Keita, who had just finished looking around the room, walked up to him. That was when he finally realized that he had been laid down in the deepest room where the magic stone was kept.

“You did well too, Fi. After all, you found out the structure of the dungeon.”

“Well, that’s true… By the way, why didn’t you destroy the magic stone yet?”

“We were waiting, for you to wake up.”

“You’re too complacent. If we don’t hurry, the other goblins will turn you into a kobold hot pot.”

Sheto chuckled and picked up his bow.

“Already contacted, the village. We’ll finish here, and go.”

“Fi is awake now, so we’ve completed the quest.”

Keita looked rather proud.

Guto was resting near the door and did not look interested as he yawned.

After seeing all of this, Fi laughed.

“What is it?”
“It’s nothing. Hurry up and get it over with.”

When he had gone through dungeons as a Hero, it always felt so cold to him.

He grew stronger, and the work was easier. But it always felt so routine. Like it was all just a game.

But the sense of achievement he felt with friends accomplishing their goal…

“Go!”

The two attacked, and the stone was shattered. Shards flew through the air as the young dragon pondered.

“This…is what they call an adventure.”

As the dungeon started to shut down, the aching feeling began to dissipate. Fi accepted the hands of the kobold and boy, and got up to his feet.

“Now, let’s go.”

“Aye!”

In a place where white silence ruled.

Furukamuto sat in the center with closed eyes and took it in.

To be precise, there was a small stream in the far back, so that the faint sounds could ripple in the air.

Silence was a void that soothed the mind, but silence that subtly contained a pure sound would nourish the soul.

But in that finely tuned perception, a noise intruded.

“…How boorish.”

He opened his eyes and summoned a mirror above his desk, and then looked inside.

Small figures escaping from the dungeon. A kobold was in the lead. They were the same number as when they first entered it. He then touched the mirror and the scene changed.

A horde of monsters marching in the mountains. A minotaur was giving orders as they made a desperate run towards the dungeon.

He changed the scene once again and saw other monsters hiding in the shadows of the trees. They had the heads of dogs and were doing their best to avoid detection.

How foolish. There was nothing they could do to escape the eyes of a god.

“Yasuharu.”

Next, he connected to the Hero’s device.

‘Yes.’

“Is everything going as planned?”

‘The Ekbert squad has been delayed by half a day.’

“That’s fine. Send a messenger to the Venglass squad, change course, and have the entire squad head to the designated location immediately.”

‘Understood.’

The surrounding area, a basin surrounded by mountains, was then shown in the water mirror. In the center of it, the village of Lindle appeared, with a piece representing kobolds placed over it.

A single road ran north to south on the eastern side of the village. The Seer’s finger touched the piece representing the army at the end of the road, and guided it toward the forest to the northwest of Lindle.

A single road stretched north to south on the eastern side of the village. He placed his finger on the piece representing the army at the end of the road, and then guided it toward the forest to the northwest of Lindle.

“The kobold pack is near this location. Engage and eliminate them as soon as they are discovered. However, if Venglass is affected or if the casualty rate of the squad exceeds five percent, retreat immediately, leaving behind the ‘Eye’ and regroup with Ekbert.”

‘…Understood.’

The Hero replied curtly. Once the connection ended, Furukamuto dismissed the water mirror and once again closed his eyes to the faint sound of water.

“Now, Saliashe.”

He said with a joyful expression, even though she could not have heard him.

“Shall I have you dance, as I wish?”
