There was a special meaning in the necklace
“Wuff-wuff!”
“Haha. Thank you, Leo.”
Leo barked happily as she sat next to me.
As she pushed her face towards me, I patted her on the head gratefully.
Apparently, she was happy for us.
Claire was also petting Sherry and smiling, so perhaps it was the same for them as well.
“However, that was rather bold of you, Mr. Takumi.”
“Huh…?”
Sebastian and Alfred approached me quietly while I was petting Leo.
I was not quite sure what Sebastian meant.
Was he talking about how I had hugged Claire from behind?
“I didn’t think you would give her a necklace with a precious stone.”
“Is there something wrong with that? I thought it suited her very well… Ah, also…thank you all for the lace.”
“No… It’s just that there is a special meaning to it…were you not aware of it, Mr. Takumi?”
“A special meaning?”

Of marriage… Wouldn’t a ring be better?
In fact, I had considered giving her a ring. But it might look like a wedding ring, and it was a little too early for that.
And since I had already given her a hair ornament, a necklace seemed like the next best thing.
Still, perhaps I should have asked someone about it first…
