Day 106: A Name.
Holy Era 6102, Month of the Seven Night Horses, 28th day.
Weather: Sunny
Hehehe. With yesterday’s reward, I finally have a gold coin again.
Ah… This shine. It is always so beautiful and captivating.
I was so, so happy that we ended up staying at a rather luxurious inn last night.
Still, it really is beautiful…gold. I have to gather more and more!
As I stared at the gold coin and muttered to myself, I heard Ms. Noa say, ‘She’s very ill.’
I snapped out of it and turned around. Ms. Noa and Ms. Nico were standing there with exasperated expressions.
Ho-how long have you been here!? Huh? I answered? Th-that’s a lie!
And like that, they teased me about it until breakfast was over. And then we went to the Adventurers Guild.
After all, there was a lot to do. We had to hurry.
When we arrived, we went to the reception desk.
Ah, it was the muscular man again… I still wasn’t used to him, so I was a little scared…
We then handed him the Merchant Guild cards from the incident.
…Actually, we were supposed to hand them over yesterday, but we were so tired that we forgot.
I explained to him how we found the cards and apologized for being late. The guild worker let out a sigh.
And then he told us to wait for a moment as he left the desk.
A short while later, he returned and said that the Guild Master had called us to his cabin.
…Of course… It was my fault for forgetting. But this is the worst.
As I walked with drooping shoulders, I could hear others whispering.
It’s unheard of for Adventurers to be summoned like this right after arriving in the town. What kind of party of misfits are they?
Apparently, they’re called the Nameku Hunters. Haha. What a stupid name…
Etcetera.
Ah, so this is how the name spreads even more.
As we entered the captain’s cabin, Captain Ed was waiting for us while smoking a cigar.
His expression was incredibly severe, and you could tell at a glance that he was angry.
However, there was no point in being scared now. I had to give him a proper explanation about what had happened.
Once I was finished, Captain Ed sighed with exasperation.
He said that the Guild would investigate it now, and so that we were to keep quiet about the matter. Yes, I know.
Huh? We can go now? What about the punishment? Huh? There’s none? Thank you!
When we returned to the front desk, the young man asked us if we were alright… He was surprisingly kind.
Ah, that’s right. I have to submit the kelpy registration form…
Being called by Captain Ed made me forget all about it.
I filled in the required fields and… What about the name…?
Hmm. After thinking about it for some time, I decided on ‘Soshio.’
And then I submitted it and… Oh, this costs money too. Right… And it’s rather expensive too.
A moment later, the muscular man gave me a card.
It was made of a blue metal and had my name and party name on it.
And under it, ‘Soshio: Kelpy’ was carved.
Hehe. Now it’s like Soshio really is one of us.
I’ll show it to Soshio as soon as we return. I wonder if they’ll like it.
Now, it was time to retire for the day.
It would be difficult to work after sticking out in such a bad way.
I will do my best tomorrow!
