Day 107: Stuck On!
Holy Era 6102, Month of the Seven Night Horses, 29th day.
Weather: Sunny
Hmm. Mornings in luxurious inns really are nice. And dinner was delicious as well.
Still, we better look for a different inn… Four silvers a day…it’s going to do a lot of damage to my purse.
If I’m not careful then I’ll lose the gold I finally acquired again… And that had to be prevented at all costs.
It was with that resolve that we headed to the Adventurers Guild ship once again.
Once we arrived at the guild, we went straight to the quest board.
Even if it looked like a ship, the place still functioned as an ordinary guild.
So, what kind of work would there be today?
After scanning it quickly, most of the work was hunting sea monsters.
Also, there were escort quests.
This is a bustling port town with lots of trade, so there were likely many companies and merchants who needed escorts.
And so the one we chose was the Lemora hunting quest!
Lemoras were pale fish-like monsters that lived in reeds near the port.
Their defining feature was the suction cups made of cartilage on their heads.
They used these suction cups to stick to the hulls of ships and prevent them from moving.
Sometimes, just one of them could stop a large ship from moving.
As a port with so many ships coming and going, no monster could be more dangerous.
And so you could make some good money from just hunting one of them.
There was no way we couldn’t take advantage of this.
And so I took the request sheet and went to the reception desk.
Uh…it was the muscular man again… Why is it always him?
Though, he smiles kindly and is very polite… There is something overwhelming about him.
Regardless, he obliviously explained the quest to us.
After receiving his advice, we went to the rocky shore that was a short distance away from the port.
Apparently, this was the last place the Lamora had been sighted.
As for how to hunt them, it was simple. You just caught them the same way you would fish.
And so it was time to begin!
Ah, we rented some fishing rods that the guild worker had recommended.
It really is hot… And we fished for two hours without catching anything.
To be precise, we didn’t catch Lamora… We actually caught some normal fish.
This is boring… Ah, Soshio was riding on the waves and having fun.
…I suppose kelpies liked the sea as well?
Huh? Something was stuck onto Soshio’s stomach… Could it be!
Soshio! Come over here! Hurry!
Just as I thought, the thing stuck to Soshio’s stomach was a Lemora!
Not only that, but there were lots of them! This was amazing!
Soshio snorted proudly at the praise. Now the quest was completed!
When we went to the guild to make a report, the muscular man was surprised.
Apparently, it was rare for someone to hunt this many on their first try.
‘Well done, Nameku Hunters!’ He said. The last part was unnecessary!
Now, let’s return to the inn. We can search for a new inn tomorrow.
As Soshio made us a lot of money, we still have enough!
Today’s earnings and expenses:
Silver: +30 (Lemora hunt reward x10)
-4 (Inn x 3 + Soshio) (Bed: ☆, Food: ☆)
————————–
Balance: 1 gold, 82 silver, 1 copper
190 cat coins
\(^▽^)/ Soshio did amazing! Very good.
