Kamigami – 75 Part 4

‘Damn it! Run, Keita! Don’t be reckless!’

‘Do not get distracted, Sheto! Our enemy is right in front of us! If you wish to help him, we must go forward!’

The minotaur shouted encouragement as he controlled his troops. Even if they were few, the enemy army was confused. And they would take advantage of that opening.

“…It really is a waste that he’s just a monster.”

He could not help but murmur.

The legion of magical beasts renowned across the central lands had been far too one-dimensional. They relied solely on brute force. As opponents, they were not very satisfying.

Even powerful monsters like chimeras, wyverns, and hydras were nothing more than beasts of low intelligence.

However, this army led by the demon general… Though not perfect, they understood the very concept of warfare.

Before the Dragon God had advised them, they had already grasped the danger of leveling up, and deliberately targeted only the enemies they could handle.

“Demon general…Berganda, was it?”

He said, and then the minotaur gritted his teeth.

‘Did you call me, Seer? I am Demon General Berganda. I’ve had no shortage of offers to defect, and yet I have not the slightest intention of becoming god’s lackey!’

“So there is no hope then. It is foolish, you know? You are a crawling insect, and speaking to a god will never happen again in your lifetime.”

‘My deepest gratitude for your consideration! Still, while I might have served a true commander, a cheating fraud is another matter!”

Furukamuto sneered and leaned back into his chair.

“Well then. I shall have to take your head and show it to the Demon King. When he sees the pitiful corpse of the subordinate he so carefully nurtured, he will surely grind his teeth in frustration upon his throne.”

‘Do you think everything will go your way?! Advance! Break through their ranks and press the attack!’

Berganda’s voice rang across the battlefield, and the monsters began to gather, forming up with the ogre unit in the front.

“Are you not going to restrain them, Dragon God?”

“There’s no need to offer advice if they are not making a bad move. Besides, I won’t let Keita’s efforts go to waste.”

As if he had read the Dragon God’s thoughts, the demon general began to concentrate his forces.

It was a concentrated breakthrough, leveraging the surprise attack to pierce a single point in the line. Even if a reset were triggered, it would not eliminate the poison already planted within the camp. Canila’s Hero.

The enemy had slipped between the tents, searching for a chance to strike the Hero down.

Still, if they could weather this assault, every one of the Dragon God’s schemes would be undone.

“Yasuharu.”

Suppressing the impatience rising in his heart, Furukamuto gave the order in an icy tone.

“Eliminate the vermin at once.”
