Kamigami – 75 Part 7

“Nothing to say…? Well, that’s fine. It doesn’t matter what excuses you make. You’re nothing but a villain now. The hand of the monsters who attack the army of justice.”

Hand of the monsters.

He could not argue or make excuses against it.

“Have you finally realized how foolish you are? Then you should stand still and let me kill you.”

Poro’s sword pointed at Keita’s throat.

Just one thrust. He meant to pierce him with a speed that he could not react to.

What should he do?

The question exploded in his chest like fireworks.

Keita recalled the meaning of his actions.

“…A debt.”
“Eh?”

“I haven’t repaid the debt yet.”

Keita held up his staff.

“To us? Or the Seer?”

The strange words seemed to cause his anger to subside a little. Keita continued.

“That time… Sheto came to save the village. He followed his heart, without getting anything back in return.”
“Hey, you… What are you…saying?”

“It’s true that you and the others helped Lindle recover. But he is the one who saved the village.”

He knew that it was a stretch.

Still, compared to the Hero’s army, who piled calculation upon calculation and dressed things up with false appearances to become saviors, he felt that Sheto, who fought there despite being slandered and mocked, was far more worthy of respect.

“If there really are Heroes in this world, they certainly aren’t people like you.”

“You’re saying that we are inferior to that dog!?”

“I am going to repay my debt to Sheto right now!”

Keita shouted with all of his might while holding his staff in his right hand and the silver fragment in his left.

“Legis! Moon-silver Light!”

A flash burst from his staff. The illumination spell, pushed to its absolute limit, erased every shadow from the world.

“Gaahhh! Damn it!”

‘Keita, run to the right!’

Canila’s voice rang, and he began to run with his eyes closed.

He was aware of the Hero’s camp and its surroundings, thanks to the magic eyes and invisibility. As he slowly regained his sight, he ran to the place.

To the very center of the open square that had been cleared for giving speeches.

‘There, Keita! Under your feet!’
“Got it!”

He held his staff in both hands and thrust it high into the air. The magic energy soaked into the wood, causing the numerous runes on it to glow.

“Legis Sutole! Mystery that dwells within my staff! With your destruction, shatter the enemy!”

Responding to Keita’s magic, the fragments of mithril buried in the ground began to glow, forming paths of light. And the instant those lines reached the Hero’s encampment…

“Gooooo!!”

The staff shattered as it slammed against the ground, and the magic energy exploded in his hands and spread out over the earth.

“D-damn it!!”

Poro leapt out in front of the light, but the torrent of magic surged past the interference and raced onward.

Originally, it was a self-destructive technique that made the power sealed within a magic tool run wild, sweeping away the surrounding enemies. But guided by the command that had been buried deep under the ground, the power now came crashing down upon them.
