My Beloved Dog is the Strongest in Another World – 1295

The fenrirs calmed down as well

“Still, the fenrirs really are friendly. They even let me pet them after you told them that I’m not an enemy.”

“I’m sure it would have been the same if Claire told them…”

“But they do seem to listen to Mr. Takumi the most.”
“Grau.”

Mr. Euto looked impressed as he petted the fenrirs.

After what happened earlier, they had been baring their fangs at him and growling when he got close. But once I assured them that it was fine, they lay on the ground and were more accepting.

As for Ms. Lugretta, she was still watching from a distance and seemed like she was not sue… Well, it was little wonder that she wanted to keep her distance, when there were so many of them gathered in one place.

The servants were used to them now, but many of them had been quite scared when the fenrirs first came to the mansion.

“Yes, yes. Nothing like this happened before when it was just me…”
“You always attack first, Lord Euto. So it’s no wonder that they become hostile towards you.”

Ms. Lugretta moved towards him slowly as he muttered

She was just close enough to be heard, and since her hand was still on her sword, it was clear that she was still nervous.

Regardless, it was no wonder fenrirs had never been like this with him before. They had enough survival instinct to now allow someone to pet them after being attacked.

…Though, it was easy to forget they had such instincts, when you watched them relaxing back at the house.

Euto later explained that unless the fenrirs were attacking humans, he generally did not use any lethal attacks against him.

For the most part, he was just trying to make them run away. After all, he did not consider them to be anything more than a mid-boss before a Silver Fenrir.

I really wished he wouldn’t think of them as monsters from a game. It made me feel bad for any fenrirs who encountered him.

In fact, I noticed that Leo and Fen even glared at him a little when he was talking.

But he chuckled and promised to not do it anymore, after seeing how peaceful they could be. And so things ended without incident.

“Lugretta. Are you used to the fenrirs now?”

“No, my feet still feel numb… Though…they must be safe to be around, if you are able to pet them, Lord Euto.”
“You’re supposed to protect me, not use me as a safety test… But anyway, I could get used to this… These fenrirs are so soft and fluffy… Takumi?”

“Huh?”

While he was speaking to Ms. Lugretta, he suddenly turned and called to me with a serious expression.

Though, his hand continued to pet the fenrir.

“I was just thinking, if we used this fur for bedding… It would result in amazing sleep!”

“Bedding? Uh…I guess?”

I had not expected him to say that…

Though, it was true that Leo made a wonderful pillow.

“Oh, that sounds wonderful! Please do it!”
“I want one too!”
“…”

“You too, Johanna?”

Ms. Chita and Emeralda joined the conversation. And then Johanna raised her hand quietly.

Even Claire was surprised by their enthusiasm.

“It seems like the demand is there… Though, I didn’t realize they would be so close to Takumi.”

“I-I’m sorry. It wasn’t my place!”
“Please excuse me…”

“…”

Euto chuckled at their reactions.

I had told the others about him, since some were meeting him for the first time.

Of course, I didn’t say that he was the founder of the country. But they apologized for forgetting themselves in front of a royal…
