We started the boys meeting
“So, Takumi. It seems like I’m the only one who doesn’t know this… What are we going to talk about? It would probably be more fun if there were some girls here too…”
“I agr… Um, considering the subject matter, it’s probably better if they are not.”
“Phillp is right. It will be easier to talk if it’s just us.”
The reason why I hadn’t told him, was because Ms. Lugretta and even Sebastian would become suspicious.
Besides, I wanted to learn about his tastes while keeping Ms. Lugretta out of it.
“Uh… I brought you here so we can talk about your tastes in women. This is a good opportunity to learn about that. There are a lot of people…including those in Range Village…”

Was that a stupid reason? He was looking at me suspiciously now…

“You are already with someone as wonderful as Claire, and yet you have interest in other women!”
Apparently, he was suspicious for an entirely different reason.
Still, it was definitely strange to want to talk about other women like this when you have someone who you were dating.
I really should have put more thought into this…
“I thought you were more rigid, Takumi. You don’t seem like the type for this kind of talk. But yes, yes. I understand completely. Men like to be able to talk freely to other men about such things.”
“I don’t know if I’m that rigid, but… Uh, anyway. Yes, I just thought it would be fun for us to talk like this tonight.”

“Well, men will always have interest in women. Even if there is someone more special, you might want to play with others.”

As for the ring, I had heard some story about him having an affair with someone while he was still married. And so he had given his wife, the queen, a ring to show that he was very sorry.
“Well…yes? We just happened to be talking about rings, and that story was brought up. And I guessed that it was about you…”
“Tsk! But I did my best to cover it up and prevent people from knowing it was me…”
“Uh, even if your name wasn’t mentioned, the story says it was the first king… So wouldn’t it be obvious to people who know about you? Like Mr. Ekenhart.”
According to Sebastian, necklaces were widely popular in this country, but rings not as much.
Regardless, when I heard the story, I immediately thought that it was about Mr. Euto.
“I don’t think that Hart knows. But I wouldn’t care if he did… He would probably think it was amusing anyway.”
Yes, Mr. Ekenhart probably would be amused by such a story.
Not that I thought Mr. Ekenhart was the type to have an affair or have any interest in such things.
Though, his wife, Claire’s mother, had passed away years ago. So I suppose it wouldn’t be considered an affair..
I wonder if Claire and Tilura would be against it…
“But wouldn’t that mean that anyone who knows about your past will be able to figure it out…?”
“That’s not what I meant. The whole part about being the first king. I’ve done my best to erase any traces of that. And so I don’t understand how it still spread…”
