We finished the house tour
There were two basements, one was for storing food, while the other was for storing liquor…like a wine cellar.
And while it was mostly empty, since we had just moved in, Leo was still not able to fit inside.
“Wou…”
Leo looked quite disappointed, but it wasn’t a playground. And it wasn’t a place to hide in order to escape the heat.
Aside from the storage areas, there were also some guest rooms on the first floor.
They were not as big as the guest room at the other mansion, but still spacious enough.
Though, it could also be because not all of the furniture had been brought in yet.
Currently, there were no plans to entertain guests, so it was left for later.
And so we finished looking at the right side of the first floor, and started to make our way to the left.
As we walked down the hallway, we passed the drawing room where Mr. Ekenhart and the others were resting.
“They seem to be having fun.”
When we passed, I could hear Mr. Euto and Mr. Ekenhart’s boisterous laughter from inside.
While it was good that they were enjoying themselves, I hoped it wasn’t causing any trouble for Ms. Lugretta.
Well, she had been traveling with Mr. Euto for a long time, and knew him well. So it was probably fine.
“The dining hall, the grand hall, and then…”
The left side of the house had a lot of places for people to gather. The dining hall was larger than the one at the other mansion. This was so that Leo could be more comfortable when inside. Though, perhaps due to the fenrirs, we had been eating outside a lot recently.
I had thought that there was no grand hall in the other house…but apparently there was.
I just never used it.
It was so big that a hundred people could be accommodated inside. And it was furnished lavishly, as if ready for a party.
Regardless of whether or not it would be a party, this hall would be used for any large gatherings.
The drawing room was not big enough, especially for Leo. And there was only a sofa and table.
“While it was a quick tour, you have now seen most of the house.”
“Thank you for showing us around.”
When we reached the end of the house, I thanked Ms. Lyra and bowed my head.
While it was a little complicated, I would generally only be using my bedroom, study, the drawing room and dining hall. So I was not likely to get lost.
Besides, it was similar to the other house in a lot of ways.
“Outside, there is a house for the guards and rooms for the employees and…”
There were other buildings on the property as well.
Such as storage houses and an armory.
“Hehe…”
“Hmm? What is it, Claire?”
After the tour was finished, we made our way back to the drawing room to reunite with the others.
Claire suddenly chuckled, but we had not been saying anything funny. But she did seem to be enjoying herself.
“No. It’s just the thought of starting a new life here with you and good Leo and Liza.”
“Ah, that’s right. It is really starting to sink in a little.”
“Just a little? When I am so happy about being able to live with you like this?”
“Uh… I am happy about that. It’s just I’m a little overwhelmed with how big the house is.”
I scratched my nose as Claire laughed mischievously.
“Is that so? But it’s smaller than the two other houses. I don’t know why you should be overwhelmed by something like this…”
“Haha. Yes, you would think so, Claire.”
She was truly mystified by my reaction.
Claire had been born and raised in large houses, but I had an average upbringing in Japan.
I suppose my uncle’s house had been a little big, but nothing like this place.
As for the apartment I moved into when I started living alone, it was smaller than the drawing room here…
