Rahle liked being on the roof

Ms. Lyra smiled and greeted me.
While it must have been tough, staying in the forest and cooking, I was glad to see that she wasn’t tired anymore.

“Please leave her to me. If she wakes up, I will help her get ready and take her to you.”
“Thank you. Ah…that’s right.”
“What is it?”
“No…It’s about Ms. Gelda…”

I then explained to her what had happened during dinner.

“I see… So that happened while I was resting… Very well. I will deal with her as well. Something like that will not happen again.”
“Ah, that’s not what I meant. Mr. Ekenhart and Ms. Claire were not angry either…”
“Lady Tilura is like that as well. It is difficult to be strict. And so I will just tease her while she looks embarrassed.”
“But that might make her cry…
“It’s fine. I will do it slowly.”
“…Ahaha. I see. Slowly.”

And so I left Liza with Ms. Lyra, and then took Tilura and Leo and went to where Rahle was.

“Kii!”
“Rahle! Were you able to rest yesterday?”
“Kii! Kii!”
“Hahaha. You seem well.”
“Wuff, wuff.”

We had gone out to the back garden.
Rahle saw us immediately and descended from up above.
Apparently, it had been on the roof.
Once Rahle was in front of her, Tilura, who had been hesitant at first, jumped forward cheerfully and hugged Rahle.

Rahle gently wrapped her in its wings and squawked.
Leo and I really did not need to come…

“Rahle, were you alright being outside? Was it cold?”
“Kii? Kii-kii!”
“Wuff. Wuff-wuff.”
“Hmm. I guess it really does like being outside.”

Tilura was a little worried about Rahle, and she touched its feathers while talking.
After tilting its head once, Rahle told her that there was no problem.
According to Leo, it had been more comfortable than the mountains.
Well, the mansion was on flat land, and it would not be as cold as the mountains… Well, I didn’t actually know what those mountains were like.

“You seemed to be above the mansion. Were you flying?”
“Kii. Kii-kii.”
“Hmm. I see!”

Tilura seemed to enjoy talking to Rahle.
I doubted she would hesitate to meet with Rahle in the future.
Regardless, we then learned that Rahle liked to rest on top of the mansion.

It was the tallest building in the area, and higher than any tree. Besides, unlike the tree branches, it would not break.
While that was fine, was it alright for a monster of that size to stay up there?

When I asked, apparently Rahle had a way to reduce its own weight.
Ms. Claire would be so jealous of that ability… I suppose it was magic?
In any case, there was nothing to get in Rahle’s way on the roof. It was comfortable and offered a good view.

There were larger buildings in my old world, but the mansion was the largest building I had seen here… I doubted there was a taller one.
And so as Leo and I watched Tilura and Rahle talk happily, Ms. Lyra brought Liza out into the garden.
