Chapter 128 – Eating the Boar Steak
After some time, the outside was well-cooked, even though it was still raw in the middle.
“Hmm, it looks good.”
“Mr. Theo. We can tell without you telling us…”
“I know. And this portion is for the dragon and Boaboa and her child.”
“Bui?”
‘You’re not going to eat it?’ Boaboa asked worriedly.
“Ah, while eating it rare might be delicious, the parasites are dangerous for human stomachs.”
“Bubobo.”
“No parasites can withstand a dragon’s gastric juices. It must be the same with Boaboa as well. What do you think, Kelly?”
“Well, I have not looked into it too much, but Boaboa usually eats meat raw. So there should be no problem.”
While they looked like boars on the outside, they were really high-ranking demon beasts. The Chimera.
And so they would have strong stomachs as well.
“Boo-bui.”
Boaboa agreed with us. She usually ate the meat raw.
“By the way, Boaboa. How do you know that it tastes better when cooked?”
“Bui-bobobo.”
“I see. You found out when defeating one with fire magic…”
Meat plus fire resulted in a delicious change.
“Bubobo.”
But Boaboa said that it was very tiring to use fire magic to cook the meat.
And so it was a rare delicacy.
“In that case, eat a lot. …We’ll need a plate.”
“Bubo.”
Boaboa said that I could just place it on the ground, but I didn’t want to.
And so I quickly used some rocks to make two large plates and one small plate.
“The shape is not very good, but it should be enough.”
“Grau.”
“Bubo.”
“Bubui.”
All three of them liked the plates.
“Alright, I’ll split up the meat then. And then I can cook the rest.”
And so I placed the cooked meat in the injured Boaboa’s plate.
And then I filled the other two plates as well.
While I had sprinkled salt on, there was still no pepper yet.
“Dragon, here’s the pepper.”
“Grau!”
I added the pepper and the dragon ate it ravenously.
“Bui.”
“You want to try it with pepper too?”
“Buibui.”
“Alright.”
Boaboa wanted to try it as well.
And so I cut off a piece of meat and added the pepper before placing it on Boaboa’s plate.
“Here it is. Let me know if you like it.”
“Bui…bubui!”
“How is it?”
“Buuubuui!”
Apparently, Boaboa liked it a lot.
I continued to pass out the meat, while being sure to fill Boaboa’s plate first.
And then I slowly cooked meat for us humans.
Unlike Chimeras and dragons, raw boar was dangerous for us.
“Kelly. I think you can eat the ones over there now.
“Thank you. I’ll have some then.”
While the meat was ready quickly for those that didn’t need it well done, they were big, and so they also ate a lot.
And so Kelly and I ate a little in between, but we became full in no time.
“Are you still hungry, Boaboa?”
“…Bubo..”
They were apologetic that they ate so much more than us.
“Don’t worry. Eat as much as you want. Though, I’m not the one who hunted it…”
“Grauu!”
Dragon also said that Boaboad should eat more.
He even said that he could hunt more if there wasn’t enough.
“Bui!”
“Alright, do you want the organs now?”
“Bubui!”
“Buuo!”
They really liked it after all.
“Kyuo!”
“Now that I think about it, Hippolius likes it as well.”
‘Enough for Hippolius?’
“Don’t worry, I will cook some for you too.”
“Kyuo.”
The Chimeras and Hippolius watched hungrily as I cooked it.
While the dragon didn’t say anything, he seemed to like them as well. As he would occasionally glance at what I was doing.
“Of course, there are some for you as well.”
“Grau!”
“We humans don’t eat them, so you can have them all.”
“Bui?”
“No, we’re not holding back.”
We could eat them if they were boars from the old continent. But the organs of the boars here were terrible.
“Hippolius.”
“Kyuo?”
“We actually have some left from the last time. It’s in my magic bag…”
As humans didn’t like it, we often had some left over.
And so I kept them in the magic back to give to Hippolius or the wolf cubs.
‘Give to Boaboa! Hippolius get more later!’
“Thank you.”
Hippolius was worried about the injured Boaboa.
In spite of being so young, Hippolius was a kind dragon.
