Strange Dragon – 180

Chapter 180 – The Land Sharks Followed

Hippolius was also curious about the land sharks.

“Kyuo?”

“Indeed. Stop for now.”

I had Hippolius stop, and I climbed down.

Alya followed me.

“Bemu-bemu-bemu!”

The sharks then crowded around me happily.

“Do you want to come too?”

“Bemu?”

Apparently, since I had said they were welcome to visit, they decided to accept the invitation at once.

“I see. You are very welcome then.”
“Bemu-bemu!”

Also, they wanted to search for a new home near our base.

“In that case, is there anything you want to take with you? I can help.”
There was still plenty of space in the magic bag.

“Bemu?”
“Bem?”

The land sharks were already carrying their precious farming tools.

But they had nothing else.

“Well, we can always go back for them later.”
“Bemu!”

After thinking about it, the land sharks said that there was nothing they needed.

It seemed like they did not keep any objects outside of their tools.

“Alright, let’s go then.”

“Bemu-bemu.”
“Bemu.”

The sharks continued to walk happily.

However, as they had short legs, it would take some time to reach the base.

“If only they could all fit on Hippolius’s back…”
‘Can carry!’

Said Hippoliuss. However, carrying twenty sharks was too much work.

“In any case, we can have some of them ride with us.”
“Bemu!”

Hippolius then lay low, while Gisela, Alyaa and I helped the land sharks climb up.

“About fifteen were able to fit on. That’s quite a lot.”
“Alright, then Mr. Theo and I can carry the rest.”
“Yes.”

There were five land sharks remaining.

Gisela carried three, while I carried two.

“Me too…”
“That’s fine, Alya. Gisela is strong, and I’m used to carrying things. It’s what I’m good at.”
“Yes, yes. It is good exercise, so my body will not slow down.”

And then Hippolius started walking slowly, careful to not shake too much.

“Bemu-bemu.”

The sharks seemed to enjoy this a lot.

Perhaps the sharks that didn’t get to ride were now disappointed.

But when I asked them,

“Do you want to trade later?”
“Bemu!”

Apparently, they liked to be carried.

One of the sharks I was carrying was Bemubemu.

He seemed to like being carried like this.

As we talked, Alya said,

“Gisela is amazing.”
“Yes, she is.”

Gisela had one shark on her head, and the others under her arms.

“I see. So the sugar beets are good when roasted as well.”
“Bemu-bemu.”

“Ah, so you got fire from Ije’s tribe.”

Gisela seemed to be having a fun conversation with them.

Alya saw this and said,

“Um, Mr. Theo. Why is Ms. Gisela able to talk with them?”
“Huh? You mean the land shark language?”

To be precise, it was not their words, but their will.

You either had to use the taming skill or make them a familiar.

Right now, I was able to understand what they wanted to convey without words.

“Yes. You have the taming skill, but…”
“It’s a mystery. I don’t know how she does it either.”
“I see.”

Alya looked at Gisela with a puzzled expression.

Gisela really was a strange person.

“Well, she is a Hero. You can’t judge them by normal standards. She is on another level.”

“I see. It is no wonder she defeated my father.”

“…Is that still bothering you?”

Alya’s father was the strongest of all demons. The king.

And Gisela had defeated him ten years ago.

“Not really. But I would like to fight her once.”
“Ah, I understand how you feel.”

Demons tended to want to test their strength.

If they saw someone strong, they would want to challenge them.

“You should ask her next time.”
“Yes, I will.”
“Bemu?”

Bemubemu was worried that it was going to be a serious fight.

“No, it’s not like that.”
“Bemuu.”

Bemubemu wagged his tail and looked relieved.

Clearly, these land sharks did not like to fight.

“By the way, do you sharks only eat the sugar beets?”
“Bemu!”

“So you eat grass as well. Really? Even weeds?”

“Bemu.”
“And tree leaves. What about meat?”
“Beeemu.”

Apparently, they were herbivores.

As we talked like this, Boaboa’s house came into view.
