Kamigami – 68 Part 4

He rotated without killing his momentum. The hook at the tip shone with the white of a blessing and burst against the armor’s surface with a flash of light. Poro, who staggered from the force, retreated in astonishment.

“What! What was that move!”

His entire body reacted immediately. The movement of ‘cutting while slipping through,’ which he had been told repeatedly, proved to be effective even with a weapon that was a completely different shape.

‘The crossing method, eh?’

The Dragon God’s voice reached Sheto, who was brandishing his whip and had slightly broadened the enemy encirclement.

‘The act of attacking is also the breaking of a defensive stance. To go under the opponent’s attack and poke at their opening… Well, it is difficult to aim for such a thing.’

‘This is no time for saying such things! It’s only good when it happens to work.’

‘However, their movements have stopped as a result.’

Poro’s armor was gouged out quite deeply. The confidence was now gone, and his face became serious. The woman sighed at him admonishingly.

“Didn’t I tell you? This is no time for play.”
“…Alright, fine. Ditore, nail him down.”
“Very well. All of you, move as planned.”

The magician said, and they spread out a little.

‘Is he going to use magic again? But as long as there is the break arts…’

Salia said doubtfully. But the magician spoke before she could finish.

“Legis.”

Runes of light appeared in the darkness. The magician’s fingers drew an arc through the empty air, and numerous symbols were carved out.

‘No! Knock them down!’

“I won’t let you!”

The big man moved forward and used his hammer to block the whip. Behind him, the runes connected.

“Pierce, Frozen Moon Arrow!”

The silver lights shot out from behind the giant man, and then the crimson glow erased all of them.

“Frozen Moon Arrow!”

However, without a moment’s delay, more magic arrows slammed into Sheto.

“Frozen Moon Arrow!”

Before their lights faded, the next volley came.

“And another. Frozen Moon Arrow!”

This time, the lights increased to double as they rained down on Sheto.

“Tsk! Damn it!”

He held an arm over his face and crouched, desperately trying to stay on his feet. But there seemed to be no end to the magic attacks.

The runes in the air would disappear, and then be drawn again. And with one order, they tore into Sheto.

‘Standby spells. What a clever trick!’

“Yo-you can make, magic wait!?”

His vision turned white as the lights exploded around him. On the other side, Poro swung his sword wide.

“You can run away. But then my friend in the back will kill you.”
‘Sheto. The same move as before! Bait him into attacking so you have an opening!’

“Don’t lower your guard, Poro. This one is…”

The woman said as if to interrupt Salia. She then put her palm on the ground and moved her lips as if to chant. And in the next instant, a wall of dirt appeared behind Sheto.

“You have to be this thorough.”
“Aye, you’re right.
