Frantic, Ms. Nico tried to use magic, but I quickly stopped her.
That won’t do! Some Alchemists had tools that reacted to mana and exploded!
It was too dangerous, since we did not know enough about Ms. Nico’s tools!
Ms. Nico frowned in frustration.
Even as I tried to think of a solution, Ms. Nico was trashing painfully inside of the slime…
What should I do… It was difficult to cut a slime while someone was inside.
And they were already difficult to cut to begin with…
If I wanted to save Ms. Nico without harming her…
As I wondered over it, the short sword at my belt began to shiver… Did it want me to use it?

I prayed while unsheathing it. The slime staggered back as if afraid.

As I sighed with relief, Ms. Nico hugged me tearfully.

When I looked at it, the blade glowed proudly… It was kind of cute.
Now, time to gather the materials and continue the search.
