We rode on Leo through Ractos
“Wuff-wuff!”
“Gurr!”
“Grau.”
“Everyone seems to be in a good mood.”
“Hehe. Indeed.”
We passed the plaza and continued down the road.
There were still guards on either side. I suppose they were meant to be a security measure.
Leo was walking at a slow pace while wagging her tail and barking happily.
Behind we could hear Feri, who carried Sebastian and Alfred.
And behind them, Fen carried Liza and Sherry, while Riruru carried Lyra and Hermine.
“Do they enjoy being seen by people? Perhaps they can tell that they are being welcomed here.”
“Yes. Most of the people here are happy to see Leo. If anything…this display is more for Leo than for us.”
“Haha. I suppose we are just a bonus then.”
As we continued on, I spotted Mr. Halton among the spectators.
“The other employees are with him too. They must have all come out to watch.”
“Leaving the store unattended… Well, I suppose there aren’t any customers anyway.”
“Oh, hehe… Mr. Takumi. You should wave back to them.”
For some reason, Mr. Halton and the other employees were waving at us energetically.
And so Claire and I waved back.
“Hehe. They seem to be very happy.”
“Haha…”
Mr. Halton was jumping in the air and waving both hands now. He was quite old, and it was unusual to see him this excited.
Still, I was glad to see him happy.
“Lady Claire, and Mr. Takumi, master of the Silver Fenrir! They are regular customers at our store, which is currently having a sale! Furthermore, we have a new product made with Mr. Takumi’s help! Please come and visit us!”
Heads turned when we started waving at him, and so he took the opportunity to shout.
I couldn’t help but chuckle in exasperation. Still, he was not wrong, and if we could help the store in any way, I did not mind.
“He sure is a businessman.”
“To not only come out to see us, but profit off of it as well. Oh, is that Mr. Kalis…?”
“Huh? Oh, you’re right. He seems to be talking to someone.”
Mr. Kalis had also come out with some of his employees. Though, Nick was not with him. He was waiting at the east gate with Ms. Emeralda, where they would accompany us to Range Village.
“I cannot see clearly from here, but he seems to be holding something… Ah, it must be medicinal herbs.”
“So he’s selling them…I suppose this is a good opportunity. Though, Mr. Kalis’s store is already very well-known in Ractos.”
“Yes, because of the plague. However, it is possible that people who have come since then do not know.”
Due to selling the Ramogi very cheaply, the store had become quite famous. But I suppose he wanted to attract visitors to his store as well.
“Hehe. It’s not just good Leo. They are looking at us as well.”
“…I did feel that most people were staring at Leo. But I’m starting to feel their eyes on us as well. It makes me nervous.”
After passing Mr. Kalis, we continued to wave at the people, which resulted in drawing more attention.
And while I knew it would happen, I had lowered my guard once, and so I became a little nervous all over again…
