Chapter 203 – Boaboa’s House
I asked something that had been on my mind.
“Hippolius, do you have any friends?”
I was talking about others of the same kind, but…
‘Theodore!’
Hippolius said happily
“Indeed. We are friends.”
‘And Pi, Fio, Shiro…’
Hippolius continued to say the other names.
“Piii!”
The slime on my shoulder squeaked happily after being called.
“You have a lot of friends, Hippolius.”
“Kyuo!”
It was quite heart-warming to see.
“But what about others of your kind?”
‘Kyuo? Don’t know.’
“You never met them?”
‘No!’
“I see.”
It seemed that Hippolius’s species was very rare.
As we walked and talked, I saw that Bemubemu and the others were standing in front of Boaboa’s house.
“Bemu!”
Bemubemu noticed and waddled towards us.
He was holding a shovel.
“Bu-bui.”
Boeboe also came running.
“Bemubemu. You’re already awake.”
Bemubemu had been with Hippolius until right before dawn.
And then I took him to Boaboa’s house.
There, the land sharks were sleeping together.
“Bemu.”
Apparently, he had slept after that, and then woken up with the others.
“Good morning, Boeboe.”
“Bubui!”
Boeboe was also full of energy.
I squatted down and petted Bemubemu and Boaboa.
“Did you eat breakfast yet?”
“Bemu.”
“Bui!”
“I see, you did.”
“Bemu?”
“Hmm? The others?”
“Bemu!”
Bemubemu was wondering why Shiro and the wolf cubs weren’t here.
“They are over there, near Hippolius’s house.”
“Bemu!”
Apparently, they wanted to play.
Bemubemu was disappointed that the wolf cubs were not here.
And so I took Bemubemu and Boaboa back to Boaboa’s hosue.
Dragon was sunbathing in front of the house.
The adult land sharks were eating weeds nearby.
The sharks had their own farm tools in their hands, but they were not using them.
I suppose they only carried them because they were treasures.
“Bemu…chomp…bemu.”
“…Chomp…bemu…”
They ate grass at a very slow pace.
Compared to the goats from the old continent, they were going at only one-tenth of the speed.
There were around twenty of them, but they only ate as much as one or two goats.
“That’s probably a good thing.”
If they were the same as goats, they would eat grass over a wide area in a short amount of time.
“Bemu!”
“Bemu!? Bemu!”
The sharks greeted us.
“Good morning, all of you.”
The sharks stood in a neat row.
“Bemu-bemu.”
Apparently, the land sharks wanted me to pet them.
So they lined up and were waiting.
And so I went down the line and petted all of them.
For some reason, Boeboe, Hippolius and Bemubemu were lined up as well.”
“Please continue to eat, and don’t mind me.”
“Bemu!”
After petting them, the sharks seemed to be satisfied, and they returned to their food.
For some reason, Boeboe went with them.
Boeboe and the land sharks seemed to get along well.
“Bemubemu, don’t you have to eat too?”
“Bemu!”
“Hmm. You’re already full.”
“Bemu!”
I guess he was still young, and didn’t eat much.
Well, the wolf cubs ate a lot and more often than Shiro. But I suppose it was different for land sharks.
I was a little curious about that.
Just then, dragon started to rub against me with his head.
“Gurrrr.”
“Oh, good morning.”
“Gurrr.”
“Did you eat breakfast yet?”
“Guuur.”
Apparently, he had eaten with Boaboa and the others.
While the land sharks were herbivores, he was an omnivore.
“That’s right. Do you have time, dragon?”
“Guurr?”
“Right now, Alya is teaching Shiro how to use magic energy. AAnd she wants your help.”
“Gurruru!”
Dragon said ‘leave it to me!’ and went flying towards the base.
After seeing dragon off, I watched Boaboa roll around in the mud.
Boaboa looked very healthy.
“Bui.”
“Good morning, Boaboa. Are you healed now?”
“Bubui!”
Boaboa said she was fine in a confident voice.
“Still, I should check your wounds.”
“Bui!”
And so I inspected Boaboa’s stomach.
The wound from the false demon bear’s horn was now completely closed.
“Yes. Quite impressive. You have amazing recovery speed.”
“Bui-bui!”
Boaboa said it was because of the potion that I made.
“Of course, medicine is effective too. But I think your recovery ability played a bigger part.”
I said while petting Boaboa.
“Bui!”
Boaboa pressed into me happily.
