Strange Dragon – 114

Chapter 114 – The Hero Gisela Lulutz

I looked at the Hero carefully.
Her face seemed rather pale.

“Gisela. Are you alright?”

The Hero’s name was Gisela Lulutz.

“I am perfectly fine.”

Gisela said with a smile, but I didn’t believe it.
In the past, she had said that she was fine when she had broken bones.

“Tell me the truth.”
“I just have a little stomach ache, that is all.”

I put my hand on Gisela’s forehead.

“You have a terrible fever.”
“It will heal when I sleep a little. More importantly, Boaboa…”
“Boaboa?”
“That one.”
“Hmm.”

I looked at the big boar.
And then I communicated to it with the taming skill.

“I need to check you. Don’t worry, it won’t hurt.”
“Bu-bobobo.”
“Good boar.”

Boaboa agreed to be checked.
It must be because it trusted Gisela.

“Bubo!”

But the small boar stood in my way.

“Bobobobo!”
“Bubo!”

However, Boaboa rebuked it, and it became quiet.

“Thank you. I won’t hurt you.”

I said as I checked Boaboa’s injuries.

“Hmm. You have a lot of strength, Boaboa.”

The wounds were pretty serious. Something seemed to have pierced it in the stomach.
And while it had been removed, the wound had not been closed yet.

“Did it get stabbed?”
“A horn.”

Gisela explained.

“Horn? What horn?”
“There was this incredible enemy. And its horn hit Boaboa.”
“Where is it now?”
“I defeated it.”
“You did?”
“Yes.”

That was the Hero for you. Strong as always.

“That’s amazing. You’ll have to tell me the details later.”
“Of course. Will you be able to treat the wounds?”
“…From what I can see, it was poisoned. That’s why the bleeding hasn’t stopped.”

There are types of poisons that prevent blood from coagulating.
Not just from demon beasts and snakes, but even edible fish sometimes carried such poison.
It was quite common.

“Yes. But you can do something about it, right, Mr. Theo?”
“I am not a healer. So you shouldn’t have such high expectations of me. Where is the horn?”

I asked, and Gisela pointed to a corner of the room.

“I think I put it over there after pulling it out.”

There were a lot of things scattered in the area she pointed to.
It was a garbage heap.

And so I searched for the horn.

“Is it this?”

It was a horn that was about half a meter long.

“Yes, that.”
“I see.”

It was twisted like a drill.
And the inside was hollow.

“So the poison was inside this horn?”
“Porbably.”

And so I cast the appraisal skill on it.

“This horn is from…some kind of subspecies of that false demon bear.”
“Demon bear?”
“We just call it that.”

It did not have a horn, but there must be some that do.

“Can you do something, Theo?”
“Yes. I think that I can.”
“Wonderful.”

I checked the poison that remained inside of the horn as well.

“In terms of substance, it is not very rare. Close to common monster poison. However, we might require an antidote from the Adventurers Guild. It is similar to fish poison…”

Something between food poisoning antidote, and the monster antidote that Adventurers used would be good.
Of course, that did not mean you could just mix them. It had to be adjusted perfectly.

“I’ve made something similar once before. So don’t worry.”
“Yes. If you say so Theo, then I am not worried.”

I took out the herbs I had gathered from my magic bag.
And then I started to make the antidote with the crafting skill.
One was to apply and the other was to drink.

At the same time, I took out the wound potion as well.

“Boaboa. I will treat your wound now. This part will hurt though, so brace yourself.”
“Booo!”

Boaboa nodded understandingly.

“Good. We’ll start with the antidote potion. Hmm? What is it, Pii?”
‘Should make clean?’
“Ah, I see. You are able to cleanse the wound.”

If Pii could purify sewage water in an instant, then it should be able to clean a wound as well.
And so I used the taming skill to talk to Boaboa.

“This is Pii. A slime familiar. It is able to cleanse wounds.”
“Bubo.”
“Please let Pii touch you as part of the treatment.”
“Bubobo.”
“Thank you. Now go ahead, Pii.”
“Pii-pii!”

Pii then covered Boaboa’s wound.

“What is that, Mr. Theo?”
“Pii. My familiar.”
“Nice to meet you, Pii.”
“Pii!”

By the time that Pii replied, the wound was already cleaned.
But the blood had not stopped, and was still welling up.

“Boaboa. This part will sting and be painful.”

I reminded it.

“Bobobooo.”
“Alright, good answer. Now let’s begin.”

I poured the antidote potion on the wound.
As the poison would have penetrated deep into its body, I opened the wound wide while pouring.

“Buooooo!”
“Bobubobu.”

Boaboa roared in pain.
The small boar started to lick its face as if concerned.

“Pii cleaned it, so the poison has become thinner.”
“Pii.”
“Thanks to that, we can move to the wound potion quickly. It won’t hurt as much this time.”
“Buooo!”

I said, while pouring the potion over the wound.
It immediately started to close, and the blood stopped.

“Your potions really are potent, Theo. The effect is amazing.”

Gisela sounded impressed.
When I turned to look, I saw that Pii was riding on Gisela’s head.
I wanted to ask what it was doing, but had to focus on the treatment now.

“Boaboa. You did well. Now you have to drink the medicine. It will be bitter.”
“Bobobooo!”

I shoved the potion into its mouth.
While Boaboa almost spat it out, it managed to swallow it.

“Now, just rest and you should be fine.”
“Boooo!”

Boaboa thanked me.

“It’s nothing. We help each other when in need.”

And then I turned to Gisela.

“So, Gisela. What did you eat to get that stomach age?”

I assumed that it was food poisoning.

“Nothing.”
“Don’t lie.”

Gisela had a habit of putting strange things into her mouth.

“No, it’s true.”
“Then tell me everything you ate before getting sick.”
“Uhh…”

Gisela then recalled what she had eaten, and told me.
The list of food was long.
But I didn’t see a problem with any of them.

“…Oh, and then some red berries.”
“Did you find them in this area?”
“Yes. They were very delicious.”

Apparently, Gisela had eaten the same poison red berries as Victor and the others.
