Strange Dragon – 115

Chapter 115 – Gisela’s Treatment

“Gisela, I think that those red berries were poisonous.”
“Huh? But they were delicious?”
“Some poisonous berries taste good.”
“I see. …They really did look like ordinary red berries.”
“We call them poison red berries.”

I then took out the antidote that I had made Victor and the others drink.

“Giselsa. Drink this for now.”
“Very well. Does it taste good?”
“It tastes awful. But you still have to drink it.”
“…Fine.”

Gisela slowly drank the antidote.
In the meantime, Pii was massaging the top of her head.

“Ughh…”
“You should drink it all at once.”
“…Fine.”

Even though she said that, Gisela took her time drinking the medicine.

“You should heal after some time passes…”
“Thank you. I already healed.”
“As if that would happen. You need to rest.”

That being said, I couldn’t just leave Gisela here.
This was a dark cave where the sun didn’t shine. Her recovery would be delayed.

“Gisela. Why don’t you come to our base?”
“But Boaboa…”

Even if the wound was sealed, she did not want to leave it here.
I could understand that.

“But it will be difficult to take Boaboa with you.”

Boaboa’s body was very big.
It was nearly ten meters long.
Even with Hippolius’s help, it would be difficult.
Besides, forcing it to move would make it weaker.

“Bubobobo.”

Boaboa was telling me to take Gisela away.

“But I can’t go when you are hurt.”
“Gaaaa!”

The dragon said it was looking after it, so it would be fine.

“Hmm. Do you know where we live?”
“…Gaa.”
“So you don’t know.”

If it did know, then it would be able to contact us if something happened.
But now that I thought about it, if it did know, it would have come for help after Gisela became sick.

“Indeed. It is about…”

And so I told the dragon which direction to go.

“If you go there, you will see a lot of buildings close together.”
“Gaa.”

The dragon said to leave everything to it.

“Thank you. I’ll come back as soon as possible.”
“Bubobobo.”
“Bubo.”

Boaboa and the baby boar thanked us.

“Now, Gisela will come back with us so she can rest.”
“Thank you. Sorry for causing you so much trouble.”
“Don’t mention it. Just rest.”
“Bubobo.”
“Do you have food?”
“Grau.”

The dragon assured us that they had plenty of food.
When I had first seen the dragon, it was carrying a large boar in its mouth.
That was probably their food.

“Still…”

It seemed rather odd for them to be eating boars…

“Bubo?”
“Uh, it’s nothing.”

Perhaps Boaboa wasn’t actually a boar.
Or they were a completely different kind of boar.

“After all, fish can eat other fish.”
“Bu?”
“Nevermind.”

Apparently, it was the dragon who caught food for Gisela and the boars.

“I see. So they mainly eat meat.”
“Bubo.”
“You eat grass as well? I guess you are like Hippolius then.”
“Grau.”
“And you don’t have to treat the meat in any way?”
“Grau.”
“Bubobo.”
“I see. So you eat it like that.”

Well, it was normal in nature.

“Is there anything you want help with? Ask me anything.”
“Bubo.”
“Grau.”
“I see. You don’t have to be modest.”
“Bubobo.”

I could tell how grateful they were.
They really were polite animals.

And so I picked up Gisela and we went out of the cave.
Pii then moved from Gizela’s head to mine.

“Pii. Why were you on Gisela’s head?”
‘Head was sore.’
“I see.”

Apparently, it was to massage it.

“Gisela. How was the head massage?”
“I think I feel better. But maybe it’s because of the medicine.”
“Probably both.”
“Thank you, Pii and Mr. Theo.”
“Pii.”
“Don’t mention it. Still, I would like to hear about how you came to be here later.”
“…Very well.”

When we stepped out of the cave, I saw that Hippolius was guarding the area.
Its tail was standing up cautiously.

But when it saw us come out, Hippolius ran up to me and rubbed its head against me.
And so I patted it on the head.

“Hippolius. Did anything happen out here?”
‘Nothing! Who is that?’
“Ah, this person is Gisela Lulutz. An old friend.”
‘Ohh.’

And so I introduced Gisela to Hippolius.

“Nice to meet you, Hippolius.”
“Kyuo.”

Gisela petted Hippolius as well.
And then she petted Pii.

“You always have the most amazing familiar, Mr. Theo.”
“Right? And there are some adorable wolf cubs at our base.”
“Oh, I can’t wait to see them.”

Gisela said excitedly.
It was hard to believe that she was suffering from food poisoning

“Now, Hippolius. We are going back to the base, but must hurry.”
‘Okay! Get on.’
“Thank you.”

And so after we climbed on, Hippolius started to run at a tremendous speed.
