Chapter 118 – Gisela’s Story 2
“Hmm? Chimera? Why do you think they are Chimera? And why do you think they are boars, Theo?”
Kelly said as she leaned forward.
“Because they look like Chimeras.”
“…No? Clearly they look like boars?”
I said. Gisela laughed heartily.
“Oh, Theo. You really do like to make jokes.”
“No, I’m not joking.”
“Really, now. Well, perhaps Boaboa looks a little bit like a boar.”
“Not a little. It looks like a boar and nothing else…”
“But it had a different aura, didn’t it?”
“…Aura?”
Gisela had always had a tendency to say things that didn’t make sense.
“Well, if you don’t understand aura, then air…”
“…Air…”
That was like a boar as well.
However, she thought that I was joking.
“Well, it was quite dark in the cave. I could not see it very well.”
“Ah, I see. So that’s why you mistook Boaboa for a boar.”
Gisela said with satisfaction.
“Well, there is no point in talking about that now. I will go and see it later.”
“Indeed. It would be best for Kelly to see it in person.”
Otherwise, we would not be able to determine if Boaboa was a Chimera or boar or even something else.
“So, Gisela. Tell me how you met Boaboa.”
I asked, and so Gisela began to explain.
“Ah, yes. It was while I was traveling here on the flying dragon.
Normally, it would be difficult for even a dragon to fly all of the way to the new continent.
However, that dragon was old and powerful.
Not only was it fast, but it could fly for a great length of time.
And so it must have had enough power to reach this place.
“Arriving here was one thing, but I did not know where Mr. Theo and the others were…”
“Well, we would be hard to find.”
After arriving by ship, we had traveled along the coast for some time in order to find the right place to build our base.
And Gisela and the dragon had flown, so they would have likely landed somewhere else entirely.
“And while I couldn’t find you, we could not keep flying forever, could we?”
“Indeed. That dragon is very strong, but it had flown from the old continent. So it would be tired.”
“Yes, yes. We also ran out of food towards the end.”
“How did you eat?”
“Well…”
Apparently, Gisela had some water and food stored in a magic bag.
Both for her and the dragon.
And they were able to eat while flying.
However, the dragon required much more food and water than she realized.
After all, it was using a lot of energy to fly.
“And so before the last day…we ran out of food and water.”
“That’s bad.”
“Yes. I felt sorry for the dragon.”
Gisela said apologetically.
“And so we went into the forest in order to search for food.”
“These areas are quite rich with food, aren’t they?”
“Yes. But then I found some delicious-looking berries, and so I ate them. And then my stomach started to feel pain.”
“…That was quick.”
She got hit by poisoning right after landing. Poor thing.
And then Kelly asked her,
“Gisela. By the way… How many did you eat?”
“I don’t remember how many. But around this much?”
She said as she drew a circle in the air that had a diameter of 0.3 meters.
“…That much…”
“Because I found a lot of berries when I was very hungry. Besides, I ate one and it was so delicious.”
“It was really that good?”
“Yes. Better than any red berry I had tasted before.”
“Victor. Is that true?”
“Yes, it was very delicious.”
A delicious, poisonous berry. That was quite troublesome indeed.
“After I ate a lot of them, the dragon returned with a boar in its mouth. And so I was going to give some of the berries to the dragon, but…”
“Your stomach started to hurt.”
“Yes. And then I got a fever as well. And started to vomit…”
Gisela said that she was writhing on the ground in pain.
And the dragon was alarmed by this.
Still, it thought that perhaps she would recover if she had something nutritious to eat. And so the dragon quickly used its breath to roast the boar.
Without bleeding it or removing the organs.
“…Still, the dragon was so thoughtful to make it. And so we ate it together.”
“You ate meat when your stomach hurt?”
“…Yes. It was delicious.”
“I see…”
“Well, that was fine. But then the smell must have been quite strong, as it lured in Boaboa.”
And that was how Gisela met Boaboa and the baby.
Thanks for the treat.
Thanks for the chapter!
