Strange Dragon – 187

Chapter 187 – Ije’s Morning

“Indeed. If you can heat up like that, then there is no worry of the tanks freezing.”

‘Yes.’

“However, it will be cold every day. Wouldn’t it use up a lot of strength to warm up?”
‘It fine. Easy.’

“Purifying the water can make up for that?”

‘It can.’

“I’m relieved to hear that.”

And then the slimes in the tank chirped.

“Pii-pii!”

“What is it?”

When I looked inside, steam rose into my face.

They had made the water heat up to a boil.

“You can make it that hot…”
‘Can do. Amazing?’

“It is more than amazing.”

“Pii-pii.”
Pii was jiggling happily.

The slimes on the old continent were very powerful monsters.

However, the slimes on the new continent seemed to exceed them for the most part.

If you wanted to defeat just one of Pii’s slimes, then you would have to hire a B-Rank Adventurer.

And if that Adventurer lowered their guard, they could easily lose

Out of everyone here, the only one who could do it safely was like just Victor and Gisela.

“You really are strong.”

“Piii!”

“While I understand that the slimes are amazing, it seems that it would be best to shovel the snow regularly as well.”

I had heard that the snow would pile up quite a lot here.

If there were several meters of snow on top of the lid, the slimed would not be able to go out and play.

Besides, it would also be difficult to come here, if something went wrong.

‘Shovel snow?’

“Yes. With Hippolius and Boaboa’s help, it should not be too hard.”

‘Can do it all together.’

“…The slimes can do it?”

‘Yes.’

“I would be grateful, but…”
‘Can do.’

“Pii-pii!”

The other slimes also agreed that they could shovel the snow.

“Of course, if you can, it would help us all a lot. Are you sure?”
‘It fine.’

Indeed, with their ability to create heat, they should be able to melt the snow.

However, there would be a great deal of it. And I was not sure that they would be able to melt all of it.

“Well…as long as you don’t push yourself too hard.”

‘Okay!’

“Pii-pii!”

“We will also prepare to shovel the snow.”
“Pii-pii!”

After I was finished talking with the slimes, I headed towards Hippolius’s house with Pii.

When we went inside, Ije was washing her face.

“Ije. Good morning.”
“Good morning. Mr. Theo. Early riser.”
“Well, I had to take Bemubemu back to see his father.”
“I see. Bemubemu still very young.”

Ije finished washing up and dried off her face.

Bemubemu was a child, but Ije was still quite young as well.

“Ije, you can still sleep too.”
“Always wake up this time. Just wake up naturally.”
“I see. I suppose that people in your village woke up early.”

“Yes.”

I looked around Hippolius’s house.

Hippolius was still sleeping in the same position.

Fio, Shiro and the wolf cubs were all sleeping together.

“They moved around a lot yesterday, so they must be tired.”

It was probably best to just let them sleep like this.

After washing her face, Ije headed to the door.

“Are you going to the dining hall?”

“Yes. Prepare breakfast.”
“I see. Then I’ll help you.”
“It fine.”

“Well, I have nothing to do.”
“Thank you.”

“No, thank you.”

And so with Pii still on my head, we headed to the dining hall and kitchen.

“Hallway is nice.”
Said Ije as we walked through the newly made hallway.

“I’m glad you like it.”
“Will really help at winter.”

“Yes, there will be a lot of snow. Ah, by they way. It was quite cold when I woke up. Is it almost autumn?”
“…Might be.”
“Not sure?”

“Autumn time comes differently. Every year.”
“Indeed. Well, I suppose I will ask the Climatologists about it.”

“Yes.”

We then arrived at the building, and Ije headed straight to the kitchen.

I followed after her.

When we went inside, Ije checked on the sugar beets inside of the pot.

We had placed them in water last night.

“How are they?”

“Yes. Seem good.”
“They are supposed to be in there for a day, right?”

Ije had told me that making sugar on the new continent was very easy.

“Yes. Though, not strict one day.”
“Approximately one day.”
“Yes. Can maybe work around midday.”
“Will that really be enough time?”
“Yes. There is difference between sugar beets.”
“I see. Well, that makes sense.”

It depended on how they were cut and soaked.

And since they took longer to be harvested, they would be in a different state compared to other years.
