Regardless, the thing to do today was to harvest the oats.
And if we were lucky, we might get some milk.
“If we want to make bread, then we should have an oven for that as well.”
“Yes. But not right away is fine.”
“Aye, leave it to me.”
I had work to do now.
“Kuro, Roro, Ruru. Sorry, but…”

I could not let them go with Alya and Shiro if there was no one to watch over them.
Fio usually watched, but she had an important job now.
“Kuro, Roro and Ruru. Why don’t you come with me to gather the oats?”
The cubs looked disappointed, but they were resigned to their fate.

“Mr. Theo. Don’t you think the wolf cubs will have to learn body strengthening as well, one day?”
