My Beloved Dog is the Strongest in Another World – 1307

I made a suggestion

“Uh, I’ll ask, just in case… Leo, what do you think about fenrirs pulling cars?”
“Wuff? Wou…”

Leo tilted her head to the side and thought about it.

“…Wou. Wuff-wuff. Wuff-wuff!”
“I suppose you would think that…”

Leo said that she did not think it was impossible.

However, she did not look like she thought it was a good idea.

She had never really liked being around cars herself.

Leo had been a very small dog, so the giant machine moving at a great speed would have been scary for her.

“Maybe if it was something similar to a trolley? Though, that wouldn’t have much advantage over horses…”

The priority should probably be steam engines. But from an amateur’s point of view, a trolley seemed very easy to do.

“Hmm. A trolley… It could be useful in some places. It is not a terrible idea…”

Mr. Euto started to think about it.

There was also another problem. That of the rails.

In a world of monsters, could such rails last for many years?

Besides, it was possible that the trains would be crashing into monsters that attacked.

It would be necessary for the trains to be made of durable metal, which would become very heavy.

Unless there was something light and durable like steel or carbon fiber…

Regardless, I did not have much knowledge about such things. All I could do was make suggestions based on things I had seen. Like slippers.

“…”
“Hmmm… Hmm?”

He continued to mutter to himself.

“Wuff…”

Leo sighed as if she still didn’t know why Mr. Euto was here.

After running silently for some time, Mr. Euto finally decided that it would be dangerous to continue, and so he returned to the carriage.

Also, Liza woke up from her nap and enjoyed the ride with Leo for a while before the sun started to descend.

And so we stopped near the forest by the road in order to set up camp for the night.

The servants all worked together to prepare the camp site. It was quite impressive seeing the tents being pitched and the bonfires burning so quickly. I was grateful to them.

Liza and I then helped Ms. Chita and Ms. Cheryl with preparing dinner for the fenrirs. And while we didn’t have access to all of the equipment in the kitchen, the fenrirs still ate the food happily.

“Good work, Takumi.”

“Mr. Euto. Well, I was just riding the whole time, so I had plenty of energy left. Haha.”

As I was watching the fenrirs eat with Liza, Tilura, Rahle and the cockatrices, Mr. Euto approached me while carrying a wooden plate of food.

We were off in a corner, away from Claire and the others. This was because he had wanted to talk in private.

“Mr. Euto, are you really going to eat all of that?”

“Of course. I’m hungry after moving around so much today. Besides, there is a lot of drink too. In order to maintain it.”
“Maintain…?”

He was holding a large serving plate that would usually be placed in the center of a table and feed a whole group. And it contained a mountain of cooked meat and vegetables.

I suppose he was a big eater.

Not only that, but he was holding a pitcher of wine in his other hand.

Was he trying to maintain his state of drunkenness?
