Liza had a room as well
“Uh, she’s learning the smell because it’s her first time here. I suppose it’s like checking your new territory?”
“Wuff!”
“I see. So that’s what it is. Now that I think about it, Sherry did something similar when she first woke up in my room.”
Sherry had been sleeping inside of the carriage, so Claire had carried her to her room.
So she woke up in an unfamiliar place.
“As they have a strong sense of smell, they often search with their nose instead of their eyes.”
Apparently, dogs didn’t have the best eyesight, so they often relied on their noses… Though, Leo seemed to have better eyesight as a Silver Fenrir.
“Now that I think about it, Leo would sometimes bark at me if I came home in different clothes…”
There was a time when we had a festival at school during halloween, and I came home while still wearing a costume.
Leo barked and bared her teeth when I tried to pet her. She very nearly bit me… Once I talked to her and approached slowly, she calmed down.
I suppose she thought I was a stranger, and she meant to chase me out.
Even if she was friendly, she was also trying to be a good guard dog.
“Wuff!? Wou-wuff!”
“Ahaha. You didn’t recognize me at that time? Well, I understand. But it hurt me a little…”
Leo remembered it too, and tried to explain herself.
For some reason, I had been dressed as Little Red Riding Hood… And well, I suppose I would have looked strange.
“Wou…”
“Hehe. So even Good Leo makes mistakes.”
“Now that she is a Silver Fenrir, she doesn’t make mistakes as much
… It used to do it a lot.”
“Wuff! Wou!”
Claire smiled as Leo looked a little sad.
Still, we had other rooms to see. And so Ms. Lyra guided us to the next place.
“…Over here, we have Lady Liza’s room.”
“Liza’s room?”
“Yes. Previously, she was given a guest room. But we prepared one properly this time.”
Liza’s room was to the right of my study.
Liza stepped inside with a puzzled expression. Leo was glad to change the subject, and quickly busily went around sniffing everything loudly.
This room was similar to her other room in size. There was a bed and all of the necessary furniture.
Well, there was no desk and chair, but those could be bought later if they were needed.
There was a dresser against the wall, as well as three chairs with varying heights… That seemed strange, since there was already a table and sofa.
“Liza doesn’t need a room. Because being with papa and mama is enough.”
“Don’t worry, we are still going to be together. But it won’t hurt to have your own room as well.”
“Really?”
“Yes, especially when you are older.”
“Lady Liza, in regards to your room, I think you will like this part.”
“Hmm? A door?”
“It looks like the door that connects my room to my study?”
As Liza looked a little doubtful, Mr. Lyra walked over to the wall on the right side.
It was also a simple door that blended in with the wall. So it must connect to the next room as well.
