Kuro, Roro and Ruru gathered around my feet.

Just a moment ago, they had been sleeping under Shiro’s watchful eye.

As I was finished working, I petted them.

Fio petted them as well.

“Come here, Shiro.”
“Grau.”

I petted Shiro, since she had watched over the cubs.

“Thank you so much.”
“Grau.”

As Shiro took care of them, she seemed like a responsible brown wolf.

However, she was still young as well.

If her pack was still alive, she would probably be playing with her siblings.

“You really are smart, Shiro.”
“Grafu.”

Shiro rolled over and showed her stomach.

I petted Shiro, and the cubs pounced on her.

As we all played leisurely, the others returned from the field.

“Kyuo!”
“Good work, Hippolius.”

Hippolius was in its large form, but immediately shrunk down after seeing Shiro being petted.

And then Hippolius rolled over onto its back next to Shiro.

“You did well too, Hippolius.”

“Very good.”

Hippolius wagged its tail happily.

But Hippolius was also covered in mud.

It was no wonder, since they were working in the field.

“You must have worked very hard.”

And then Victor approached us.

“I see that the hallways are finished.”

There were no gaps, but wood absorbed water.

So if it rained for a long time, it might result in leaking.

In the meantime, Kelly returned and petted Shirro and Hippolius.

“Shiro, did you gain weight?”

Kuro was biting at Kelly’s shoe straps.

“Pii’s massage kept me from getting tired.”

Gisela petted Pii, who was on my shoulder.

Then I turned to Ije.

“How are things going with the field?”

“Smoothly. Finished planting seeds. Field is big.”

“Oh, that’s great.”
“Hippolius did a lot.”
“Thank you, Hippolius.”
“Kyuo-kyuo!”

After that, we all prepared lunch together and ate.

While eating, Victor said,

“Mr. Theo. What else do you think we should prepare for before winter?”

“Indeed. Aside from food and firewood?”
“Yes. Aside from those.”

Those were the two most important things.

“If it is related to buildings, then heating? We need fireplaces.”
“A place to actually burn the firewood.”
“Should I just make one in the communal areas?”
