I said to Hippolius slowly.

“The enemy is moving between the large trees that surround the field.”
“Kyuo?”

On the old continent, there were Undead that possessed humans, animals and monsters.

And the devil in front of us now was possessing the plants.

Not only that, but it was not staying in a single plant.

It moved from sugar beet to tree and flew around.

I did not understand how it was possible.

In the first place, I didn’t know if devils even had souls.

However, it must be moving like this because it had the will and ability to attack.

“And so I want you to attack when I give the order.”
“Kyuo!”

“The enemy’s weakness is lightning.”

The devil I had defeated with Hippolius had been weak to fire.

So it depended on the devil.

“Though, it might be difficult to attack while guarding…”

“If only we could tell Gisela the enemy’s position and weakness. Well, your attack doesn’t need to be too powerful, alright?”

Not only was the enemy constantly moving, but unless you used Appraisal, it would look like an ordinary plant.

Using the skill, I was able to find the devil’s precise location.

“(Hippolius. Lightning on the tree up ahead.)”

I said vaguely.

But with the taming skill, my meaning would be conveyed clearly.

Hippolius continued to guard while firing off lightning attacks.

There was a flash as it hit the tree.

The devil did not have time to dodge it.

—GIYAAAA!!

It screamed.

And then…

—Daaaaaaan!!

From above, lightning hit the tree that the devil possessed.

It was Alya’s magic.

The power was incredible, and the tree was split open and erupted into flames.

The smoke from the tree moves as if it had a will of its own, and it took a human shape.

The devil was no longer able to possess the tree.

—GUAAAA!!

I did not understand what it was saying.

But it looked at us with rage.

Its power began to swell up, and I could tell that it was going to unleash a huge attack at us.

“Be careful.”
“Kyuo!”

—GAAAAAA…

Just as the devil let out a big roar.

The devil was cut in half.

“Really, what a loud one that was.”

The pieces of the devil fell to the ground.
Gisela was standing behind it.

Apparently, she had jumped off of the dragon and cut the devil in half.

I had not even sensed her presence.

The sword that I had repaired was now enveloped in magic energy.

It must be the holy power that Heroes have.

“Kyuo!?”
“Bemu.”

Hippolius and the land shark were also surprised.

Even I was surprised, and I knew Gisela was powerful.

“…I didn’t notice you until it was cut.”

“Ehehe. Right? There’s a trick to that.”

I doubted I would be able to understand, even if she explained it to me.

I picked up the land shark and walked over to Gisela with Hippolius.

Of course, I was careful to not step on the sugar beets.

“Is it dead? Gisela.”

I had continued to have my Appraisal skill activated.

And so I believed that there were no others in the area.

At the very least, none were possessing the plants.

And if it was any other type of devil, then Gisela should be able to detect it.

“I doubt there are. But I will check again.”
“Thank you.”

And so I tried using the Appraisal skill over the surrounding area through the ground.

“Hmm. There are none. At least, not within a hundred meter radius.”

“Good. That is a relief.”

Then dragon came flying down.

He was also careful to not trample over the sugar beets.

Alya then climbed down from his back.

“Graaarru!”

“Thank you, dragon. We were able to defeat the dangerous enemy because of you.”
“Grrr!”

I petted the dragon.

“Thank you, Hippolius. I might be dead if it weren’t for you.”
“Kyuo-kyuo.”
“And you too, Pii. It is very tiring to have to use these skills.”
“Pii-pii.”
“Because of your help, we were able to locate the enemy.”

I petted both Hippolius and Pii, who was perched on my shoulder.
