Strange Dragon – 146

Chapter 146 – Fio was interested in magic

Hippolius, the wolf cubs, and Boeboe were having a lot of fun as they rolled in the mud.

“…Well, Boaboa does enjoy a mudbath.”

So it was no surprise that her child would like it too.

“Everyone having fun.”
“Indeed.”
“Will bring snacks here.”

“Ah, I’ll help you then.”

And so I decided to go to the dining hall with Ije and Gisela.

“Hmmm. How were dragon and Boaboa doing?”

“They were doing well. They helped with the farm work.”

“I see. By the way, where is Kelly?”
“She is resting over there with Boaboa.”
“Of course. Perhaps she is investigating as well.”

Kelly was a monsterologist.

And so she would be very curious about Boaboa, who was a Chimera of the new continent.

“Mr. Theo. Why don’t you go visit them later?”
Victor said with a smile.

“Indeed. I suppose I’ll go when I’m finished with the hallway.”

“That’s good. I am sure that they will want to meet you too.”

As we talked of such things,

“Kyuooo!”

‘Go.’

“Au.”

‘Together.’

Hippolius and the wolf cubs suddenly got rowdy.

Apparently, they thought we were heading to Boaboa’s house right away.

“Don’t worry, we aren’t going yet.”
‘I see…’

“Wuff.”
“We can go together later.”
“Kyuio!”

“Kyafu-kyafu.”
“Au-au.”
“Hiiin.”

With muddy paws, Hippolius and the wolf cubs were coming up onto the stone flooring.

Apparently, they were satisfied after playing.

“Have you had enough too, Boeboe?”

“Bubui! Bui?”

“So you played in the mud over there as well.”

“Bui! Bui!”

“I see. You are looking forward to the snacks.”

Right now, it cared more about eating than playing.

“Alright, then you can wait with the others.”
“Bubui!”

And then children started to play again on the stone floor.

It would get covered in mud, but that could not be helped.

It was a place to walk on with shoes anyway.

“It will have to be cleaned regularly.”

I muttered, and then Victor turned towards me.

“Yes. But it’s not as important as cleaning the drains.”
“That’s true. At least it won’t get clogged.”

As we talked, Alya and the approached us.

Up until now, the Adventurers had been asking her questions about her magic.

They were very curious, as they had never seen it before.

“Thank you, Ms. Alya.”
Said Victor.”

“Yes, that was tiring.”

Alya sat down next to us.

“Alya, amazing!”
“Wuff-wuff!”

Fio and Shiro sat down in front of her with shining eyes.

“Thanks.”
Alya looked a little embarrassed.

“Alya, how do it?”
“The rain?”
“Yes!”

“…It is difficult to explain.”
“Oh…”

Fio looked a little disappointed.

“…Are you interested in magic, Fio?”
“Magic! Amazing!”

“I see. Yes, it is.”

“Fio want to use magic.”

Apparently, Fio wanted to become a magician.

Alya looked at her thoughtfully for a moment, and then said,

“…Fio. Should I teach you magic?”
“Really?”
“Yes.”

“Yay!”

“Wuff!”

Fio was overjoyed.

Even Shiro was happy for her.

“But I don’t know if you’ll be able to make it rain.”
“Hard?”
“Yes, it is.”

“Ohh…”
“Still, you want to be able to use magic, right?”
“Yes!”
“Then you must learn.”
“Yay!”
“Wuff-wuff!”

Their tails were wagging happily.

“Are you sure, Alya?”
“Yes. After all, I don’t have much work to do as a magician.”
“You really don’t have to worry about that.”
“Yes, Ms. Alya. You are useful enough as it is.”
“Thank you. But you can also learn things through teaching.”

Alya said with a smile.

“I see. Then I’ll leave her to you.”
“Yes.”

“In fact, Fio has incredibly high magic energy. And so I think she had a lot of potential as a magician.”
“Well, magic energy is not the only thing a magician needs.”

After all, I had a lot but could not become a magician.

“Still, it does not hurt to have it. It makes her promising.”

Alya said as she patted Fio and Shiro on the head.

“Ehehe.”

“Wuff.”

They wagged their tails happily.
