Kamigami – 60 Part 5

“Prove what?”

A normal rebuttal would not be enough.

“About what Evacus and I spoke of when we were in the cave.”

“…I am surprised you bring that up now.”

Furukamuto said with contempt.

“To prove your guilt on your own. Have you realized that there is no escape?”

“Indeed, I am going to prove something. But it is not what you think.”

Salia pointed at the arrogant god.

“It is about your actions, Seer!”

“Mine…?”

“Yesta, I ask you to use your authority as the goddess of time, and recreate the truth of the  time that I am thinking about!”

The clock staff touched her head, and then the scene appeared on the mirror.

‘In that case, if you want to be my ally, you should tell me what the other gods are doing.’
‘Yes, yes. In negotiations, you should make your move when the other person expresses their desires. And if they don’t say it, guiding them to do so is also a good approach.’

It was a nostalgic scene now. Evacus then turned to her and continued.

The important words that would turn things around.

‘Very soon, the ‘Seer’ will be leading an eastern expedition. In response, the gods who have joined the game under the banners of ‘Conqueror’s Majesty’ and ‘Weaver of the Waves’ are gearing up for a campaign against the evil god. Do what you will with that information.’

“Stop, Yesta.”

The image vanished, and the place was silent.

The Seer looked a little tense now.

“Seer, you once commented on Evacus’s blessing, did you not? Something about a divine rule by a wretched plague god.”

“So what of it? That so-called divine rule of his is nothing more than a childish pretense laid out around the Hero. What’s wrong with pointing that out?”

“In that case, when did you learn of the contents of the divine rule?”

He replied with a little relief and contempt.

“Obviously, as I was watching the game. I did think that the battle would have some effect on the rest, after all. The other four pillars were present as well.”
“I see. Yesta, continue.”

For some reason, the goddess of time looked happy as she obliged.

‘You know what the Seer is doing… What are you?’

‘Well, rats can fit in small places… Now, please excuse me.’

“What…!”

This time, his expression changed visibly. At the same time, she could hear the other gods begin to mutter to each other.

They had realized the hidden meaning in Evacus’s words.

“Here, I would like the gods to remember. Why the hundred Heroes ended up attacking Sheto, my subordinate.”

“It was just a plan to take your territories!”
“Exactly. However, the reason for that was the eastern advance of the Hero that you control.”

The dragon god, who was sitting next to her, closed his eyes with satisfaction.

“That certainly changes things. Somehow, Evacus was able to learn of your army’s movements, and manipulated the other gods. Even I am aware of how crafty the small god can be. Surely he was only able to enact such a bold plan because he was encouraged by someone?”

It was all very clear.

Furukamuto had tried to discharge her through scheming. In other words, it proved that he was involved in everything that happened here.

He had hidden that. Suppressed any truth that would make him look bad.

Right now, she was not going to prove her innocence.

She was going to prove his guilt.

“Seer. There is something you should explain.”

With strong conviction, Salia raised her head and pursued him.

“Your justification for abandoning the central continent’s battlefield, which was halfway to conquest, and deliberately advancing your army into a remote frontier land?”

“Gah…”

“You act based on reason, and are able to measure things by logic. Surely you wouldn’t have acted on a whim, would you?”

At that moment, he turned his gaze towards Salia. Not with the mask he wore to conceal and deceive, but a bare face of anger and frustration.
