Day 117: Holiday Resolution.
Holy Era 6102, Month of the Moon Sheep, 8th day.

Hah…I feel depressed… This is the worst.
We stayed at an ultra luxurious inn in order to brighten our mood, but it wasn’t fun at all.
Having to go and hunt a giant monster… A kraken… It was impossible. I want to run away.
By the way, we have no work today.
Apparently, your actions get heavily restricted when you are forced to do these designated quests.
We could not leave the town, so there were barely any jobs to do…
…I had wanted to take a break, but not like this.
When I’m in my room, I can only think about terrible things.
Alright, let’s go outside then! Now that I think about it, I haven’t explored the town yet.
I will invite Ms. Noa and Ms. Nico to go shopping with me!
And so we left the inn and arrived at the center of the town.
It was the largest business district within Marga, where various markets and stores stood in a row.
I would buy whatever I wanted today… After all, it may be the last time I get to do it.
And so we did.
Ms. Nico bought the medicine materials and equipment she wanted.
I bought books I had wanted to read.
And clothes I had meant to buy before coming here.
Also, some expensive sweets that we normally wouldn’t buy.
But in spite of it all, we still had plenty of money left.
Apparently, the stores were selling us things at a lower price than what was displayed.
Not only that, but they would always encourage us. Please do your best!
And it wasn’t just us.
All the other Adventurers were receiving the same service.
…They were cheering us on to face the kraken.
But I suppose I understood why.
After all, they were a living disaster. If left alone, the damage would be greater than other natural disasters.
The town may not be able to function for a long time.
That was why they were kind to Adventurers.
Right now, we were the only people they could rely on…
…I don’t know why.
But while I felt like running away a moment ago, now I kind of want to do my best.
After talking with the townspeople, having them be so nice and encouraging… It was a small thing… But it made me want to protect their smiles… It was rather exasperating, wasn’t it?
Still, I suppose that is what it means to be human… The smallest thing can make you want to help someone.
Yes… I’ll do my best!
I thought with a new resolve. When I turned to the other two, they smiled and nodded at me.
We will do what we can then! To defeat the great sea beast! The kraken!
…Now that that’s decided, Ms. Noa and Ms. Nico! Bathing suits! We must go and buy bathing suits!
We should buy them now. And we will go swimming at the beach after the battle, no matter what!
And so our shopping continued.
Still, unlike before, we were shopping with a hope towards tomorrow.
Shopping to fulfill our dreams for the future.
