Chapter 93 – Crafting and Breakfast

I thought about it while placing the plates on the table.
And then I filled them with the food for Hippolius and the wolf cubs.

“Kyuo!”
“Pii-pii!”
“Wuff.”
‘I’m hungry.’

Hippolius and the wolf cubs put their paws on the table to show that they were hungry.

Currently, they were sitting on top of a chair.
It was a chair big enough for one person.

While Hippolius and the wolf cubs were small, there would be too little space if I put the plate on the chair.

That being said, it would also be difficult for them to eat if the food was on the table.
The posture looked uncomfortable, and I wondered if it would affect their digestion.

I suppose it would be easiest to just put Hippolius and the wolf cubs on top of the table.
However, that would not help to teach them good manners.

“Indeed. Hippolius, Kuro, Roro, Ruru. Wait one moment.”
‘Okay.’
‘Hurry, hurry.’
“Au.”
‘Wait.’

Kuro alone barked impatiently.
However, they all agreed to wait.

“You are all very good.”

I said as I petted them gently.

And then I started to create a platform for the chair with my crafting skill.
As for the wood materials, I decided to use the extra wood that I had stored in my magic bag.

The platform was small, and the structure was simple.
If I wanted, I could make it in an instant.

And so I used my Appraisal skill to appraise the wood, and then crafted it at once.

“That should do it.”

In about ten seconds, I made four platforms for each of them, and placed them on the chairs.
And then I put the wolf cubs on top.

Hippolius and the wolf cubs then put their front paws on the table.
And their tails wagged as if they could not wait any longer.

Well, I suppose it was fine if it was just their front paws.
After all, it was like how we put our arms on the table.

“You can eat now.”
“Guf-guf-guff.”
‘Good, good.’
“Pii!”
‘Delcicious.’

The wolf cubs were eating the ground up meat.
And Hippolius was eating roasted boar organs.

“Eat a lot. What do you want, Pii?”
‘Already ate.’
“Hmm?”
‘Licked sleeping Theodore. Already full.’
“I-I see…”

So that’s why my face felt so smooth.
All the impurities or waste had been cleaned off.
Ever since Pii started to live with us, I felt as if my skin had been rejuvenated.

As Hippolius and the wolf cubs ate hungrily, the geologist and Adventurers watched over them with kind expressions.
“They really are so cute.”
“Aye, they are.”

It felt good just watching them.
They were so cute that they would probably be effective against food poisoning.

As I mused about such things, Ije and the others came to the dining hall while carrying the breakfast.
Apparently, they had finished cooking.

I stopped Victor, who tried to help, and helped instead to set the table.
As we worked, Hippolius and the cubs stopped eating and looked at us.

Once we were done, I sat down and asked them.

“What is it? Are you full already?”
‘Watch us eat.’
“Auu.”
“…”
“Kuuun.”
“Okay. I’ll watch you.”

After seeing that I was watching them again, Hippolius and the wolf cubs returned to eating their food.

“Kyumu-kyumu.”
‘So good.’
“Wou-wou.”
‘Delicious.’

Fio also sat next to them and petted Hippolius and the wolf cubs.
Shiro had been with her, and now sat on the chair and started to lick them.

Apparently, Hippolius and the wolf cubs liked to be watched while they ate.
I didn’t know why, but I suppose it was part of being spoiled.

After that, I ate breakfast with Ije, Fio, Shiro, Kelly and the Adventurers.

“…Ah…this is delicious.”
“Last night’s dinner was good…but this is even better!”

They had still used the same ingredients.
Mountain vegetables and boar meat.
So I suppose it was delicious because of the condiments that Ije brought, as well as how she prepared it.

“Hehehe.”
Ije laughed bashfully at their compliments.

“The food made for us is also wonderful. Thank you, Ms. Ije.”

Said Victor.

For breakfast, Victor and the others who were recently sick, also had a special meal.
The vegetables and meat had been boiled down to something like porridge.
It looked like it would be good for their digestion, especially since their stomachs were weakened.

“Thank you, Ms. Ije! We’ll recover thanks to you!”
“Hehehe. No, it was nothing…”
“Not at all. You really helped us!”

While Ije had only joined us yesterday, she had been fully accepted as one of us.
