Chapter 106 – Bathing After Farm Work

I, Hippolius, Shiro, Pii, and Victor and the male Adventurers went to the bathing house together.
The wolf cubs stayed behind with Fio and Ije.

Once we were inside, Shiro and Hippolius looked up at me with expectant eyes.
As for Pii, it had climbed up onto my head and was already cleaning off the dirt.

“Shiro is more dirty, so I’ll start with washing Shiro.”
“Wuff!”
“Hippolius. Just wait a short while.”
‘Okay!’

And so I washed Shiro carefully.

“That’s a lot of mud.”
“Wuff.”
“Shiro. Close your eyes so I can wash your face.”
“Auu.”

I also didn’t forget to wash out the dirt between the nails.

“Alright, you’re clean now. Next is Hippolius.”
“Kyuo!”

I then picked up Hippolius and repeated the process.
While also quite dirty, Hippolius did not have fur, so it was easier.

“Good. You’re clean.”
“…”

Hippolius just stared back at me.

“What is it?”
‘More.’
“You want me to wash you more?”
‘Yes.’

Apparently, Hippolius didn’t like that it was faster than it was with Shiro.

“While you’re clean, I guess we could do it again.”
“Kyuo.”

And so I washed Hippolius again.

“There. You can go into the water now.”
‘Theodore, go into water!’
“Wuff!”
“You can go first.”
‘Wait.’
“Wuff-wuff!”
“I see. Alright, just wait there then.”

And so I washed myself.
However, by that point, I was already mostly clean, thanks to Pii.

“Pii, thank you, as always.”
“Pii-pii!”

Thanks to that, I only needed to wash myself lightly.
After that, I got into the pool of hot water with Hippolius and the others.

The Adventurers were already inside, as well as Victor.

“Are you alright, Victor?”
“Yes, thank you. It is nice to take a bath after so long.”

Victor had been bedridden for a while, due to being ill.
And so he had not been able to bathe.

“As you only just recovered, you shouldn’t stay in too long.”
“Yes. I will be careful.”

I stretched my limbs in the water.

“Phew… Still, the water is so nice after working.”

It felt like it was healing my body, which was tired from the farm work.

In the meantime, Pii was swimming around me and seemed to be having fun.
I suppose it was purifying the water while drinking it.

Pii really was a free spirit.
It slept when it wanted to, and ate all the garbage when it was hungry.
And yet, it was so very useful.

“Kyuuuooo!”
“Wuffu!”

Next to me, Hippolius was floating.
And Shiro seemed to enjoy the water as well.

“You two really enjoy bathing, huh?”
‘It’s nice and warm!’
“…Wuff.”
“I see. Well, you are a dragon and demon wolf.”

Hippolius was able to breathe fire.
Shiro couldn’t do that yet, but apparently, there were adult wolves in the pack who could do it.
And so it was no wonder they were tough against the heat.
I doubt the hot water would have any negative effects on them.

After relaxing in the bath, I got out with Hippolius, Shiro, and Pii.
As Pii didn’t have to dry off, it made things easy.
However, I had to dry the other two off thoroughly.

“You’re so fluffy, Shiro. Drying you is a lot of work.”
“Wuff!”

I said, and then Shiro started to shake.
Hippolius then tried to copy Shiro.

I then dried myself quickly.
In the meantime, Hippolius and Shiro used their mouths to pull a towel out of my bag, and place it on the floor.
Then they rolled around on top of it to wipe themselves.

“That’s very clever.”
“Kyu-kyu!”
“Wuff!”

As I was finished with myself, I then wiped Hippolius and Shiro.
“Kyuo!”
“You’re easy, Hippolius. As you have no hair.”
“Wuff.”
“I have to be thorough with you, Shiro.”

I wiped Hippolius with my right hand and Shiro with my left.
And then Pii hopped down onto Shiro’s back.
Like this, Pii absorbed all of the moisture.

The slimes that were in charge of washing the clothes had also dried them.
Pii had now used that ability.

“Oh, thank you, Pii.”
“Pii!”
“Wuff!”

Shiro said ‘thank you’ as well.

After we were all dry, we returned to the house.
As Fio and Ije then went to take a bath, we lay down on the blanket.
Shiro, Hippolius and the wolf cubs then started to play.

After some time, the wolf cubs suddenly became tired and started to fall asleep.
Hippolius also slept on its back.

“Sleep well then.”

As the wolf cubs were young, they required a lot of sleep.

“You should sleep too, Shiro. You’re still young.”
“Au.”

I petted Shiro as well, until she became sleepy.
And then Pii massaged my shoulder, back and head.
It felt very nice.

“…Pii… Thank you.”
“Pii-pii.”

I was a little tired after the farm work and using the crafting skill, so it was very comfortable.
Pii didn’t just massage my muscles, but also used magic energy to loosen them.

“…You might be better than the first-rate masseurs in the capital.”
“Pii!”

While petting Shiro and being massaged by Pii, I became drowsy.
I had wanted to wait for the others to return, but fell asleep before I knew it.
