Strange Dragon – 134

Chapters 134 – Boaboa’s Housing Preferences

While Boaboa’s injuries were much better, she had also been poisoned as well.
And so I wanted to keep an eye on her.
It was greatly relieved that Boaboa would be nearby.

I then turned to dragon.

“Dragon. You should stay with us for a while as well.”
“Grau.”

Dragon agreed to come.

“You must be tired. You should rest until you feel better.”
“Gagarauu.”

Dragon had carried Gisela all the way to the new continent.
So it was no wonder that he was tired.
Besides, Gisela had gotten food poisoning right after her arrival.
And dragon had taken care of her.

“If only dragon could also just stay here…”

Gisela muttered.

“Dragon is busy. Don’t ask for things it can’t do.”

Staying here this long was already asking a lot.

“I know that, but…”
“Gagrau…”

Dragon said it was fine, because it enjoyed being here.

“Indeed. Well, I’ll make Boaboa’s house large enough for dragon to fit inside then.”
“Wouldn’t that mean it will be larger than Hipoplius’s house?”

Kelly said in a worried voice.

“It will be large. But it should be fine.”

I already had a simple plan drawn up inside of my head.
And we had plenty of building materials left as well.

As I thought about it, Gisela turned to Boaboa.

“Boaboa. What kind of house do you want to live in?”
“Buui-bui.”
“Warm during winter, and cool during summer? Perhaps something like Hippolius’s house would be good.”

Gisela had slept in Hippolius’s house last night, and seemed to have taken a liking to it.

“Boaboa. If you have any requests, you should say them now.”
“Bubui.”
“Oh?”
“Bui.”

Boaboa said that she wanted a place where she could roll around in.
It was similar to how Shiro had to take walks.

“Indeed. In that case, it should be a short distance away from the other buildings.”
“Bubui.”
What about close to the field, in other words, near the forest?”
“Bui!”
“Of course, we don’t want you to roll around in the fields.”
“Bubui.”

Boaboa assured us that she understood.

“In that case, we’ll cut down a small area in the forest and build a house there. Hippolius, will you help me?”
‘Okay!’
“Besides, I want to talk to Ije about expanding the fields.”

No doubt, she would want to increase the side as well.
And so we had to build the house in the opposite direction.

We talked about such things as we leisurely made our way back.
As Shiro liked to run, she would dash around us at full speed and then come back to jump on me. And she would repeat this over and over again.
I was glad to see that she was having so much fun.

A small Hippolius and Boaboa’s child were also running around and playing.

“Kuro, Roro, Ruru. Aren’t you going to run too?”
‘Carry!’
“Wuff.”
‘No.’

Apparently, they wanted to be carried by me.
It was hard to carry three at the same time, but they were too cute to refuse.

And so we continued to make our way back to the base.
Just before midday, the field came into view.

“Ah, Mister Theo! Everyone!”

Ije noticed us and came running.
Victor also followed her.

“Ah, great boar!”
“Great boar?”
“The very big boar.”

Apparently, that was what Ije called Boaboa.

“Good child.”
“Bui.”

Boaboa rubbed her nose against Ije, as if in greeting.

“Ije, you know each other?”
“Yes! Great boar helped with many things in the village!”
“I see.”

Boaboa had understood Kelly, who did not have the taming skill.
And so I had guessed that she must have encountered humans before.
However, I had not realized that it was with Ije’s village.

“Now that I think about it, you did say there was a special, large boar.”
“Yes. Great boar.”

Ije said as she petted Boaboa and her child.

“Mr. Theo. Welcome back.”
Said Victor with a smile.

“We’re back. This is Boaboa and her child. And this is dragon.”
“Buibui.”
“Bubui.”
“Graaugh.”
“I am Victor. Nice to meet you. How are your injuries?”
“Bubui.”
“Boaboa says they are fine.”
“I am glad to hear it”

Victor was very polite towards them.
He was raised well, after all.

“So, Victor. I have a small request…”
“They want to live in the base as well?”
“Though, dragon will need to leave after a short time.”
“I see. That is too bad.”
“Grau.”
“So, Victor…”
“Of course, I agree to it. In any case, it is time for lunch. Let us discuss it with everyone.”
“Yes, thank you.”

The Adventurers who had been working in the fields gather around as well.

“Oh, so this is Boaboa and the dragon, who I heard so much about.”
“Nice to meet you.”
“Buibui.”

And with the Adventurers, we walked back to the camp in order to eat.
