Chapter 189 – Morning Wolf Cubs
As soon as I opened the door, I heard the voices of the wolf cubs.
“Kuun-kuun.”
“Piii!”
“Au-au. Pii!”
“Let’s go to eat breakfast!”
“Wuff.”
Fio and Shiro were consoling them.
“What is it? Kuro, Roro, Ruru.”
“Kyufu-kyufu.”
“Pii.”
“Kyafu.”
The three of them rushed towards me all at once.
And then they tried to climb up my legs.
It seemed that they were admonishing me for leaving them behind.
“I had to take Bemubemu to see his father, and check up on the slimes, and also help with making breakfast.”
“Wuff…”

Apparently, they were satisfied by this explanation.
They had just been confused that I was gone when they woke up.

Just in case, I sat down and put Hippolius on the floor. Then I picked up each of the wolf cubs and inspected them.
It didn’t look like anything was wrong.
“They seem to be…healthy.”
The cubs and Hippolius then climbed onto my lap.

“I see. Then let’s go.”

I picked up Kuro and carried him to the toilet.
Kuro did his best to not fall in.
“That was very skilled.”
‘Pet.’
Kuro wagged his tail with a smug expression.
“Very good, Kuro. You can do it all by yourself.”
‘Pet.’
“Very good!”
As I petted him, Roro and Ruru wanted to go next.
Even Hippolius wanted to.
“I see. Take turns then.”
And so I put down Kuro and placed Roro up on the seat.
“There, Roro. Take you time.”
I didn’t expect it to be quick, since she was just copying Kuro so that she could be praised.
‘Ruru too.’
She put her paws up on my legs as I waited.
“Yes, just wait a little. Roro is still not done.”
‘Can’t hold.’
“You can’t hold it in?”
Ruru looked like she was about to soil the floor at any moment now.
“Wa-wait.”
I picked Ruru up and put her on the seat.
“Roro and Ruru. It’s a little cramped, but it will have to do.”
Unlike her sister, Roro still looked like she didn’t need to go.
‘Hippolius too.’
“Hippolius. Could you wait a little longer?”
‘Wait.’
“Sorry.”
“Kyuo.”
Hippolius was standing up.
It was its way of showing me that it could wait.
In the meantime, Kuro was already playing.

The slime spoke while sitting on top of my head.
‘Will clean up if they make mess.’

And then Ruru was finally finished.
“Well done, Ruru.”
I put her down and put Hippolius up in her place.
“Sorry to keep you waiting.”
“Kyuo.”
‘Pet.’
“Just wai-”
‘Pet-pet-pet.’
Ruru demanded that I pick her up and pet her.
Apparently, I had not done a good job of it compared to Kuro.
“Ruru, good girl!”
“Au.”
And so I petted Ruru thoroughly.
‘Finished!’
“Good for you, Hippolius.”
Hippolius was finished now.
‘Carry.’
“Yes, yes. You are very smart, Hippolius.”
I petted and praised Hippolius as well.
I then petted them all one by one.
Once they were satisfied, Kuro and Ruru went back to Fio and Shiro.
Apparently, the cubs wanted to be praised by them as well.
On the other hand, Roro was still trying her best on the seat.
