Chapter 190 – Something was strange with Roro
Roro was trying her hardest, but seemed to be having trouble.
“Can’t go?”
‘Can.’
“You can try again later.”
‘…No.’
“…Are you constipated?”
“…Au.”
I petted Roro’s stomach.
It did seem a little bloated.
Perhaps I should consult Kelly about this.
“There’s no need to force it.”
“Au.”
Roro looked a little sad.
I suppose it was because she couldn’t do it like Kuro and Ruru.
I would have to praise her later, when she was able to do it.
“Roro? Tummy hurt?”
“Wuff?”
“Au.”
Fio and Shiro were worried now.
Just then, the doors of the house opened, and Ije came inside.
“Breakfast is ready!”
“Oh, thank you.”
“Are the wolf cubs, alright?”
As Hippolius had come out to call us, she was worried about them.
“Ah, they were just a little lonely.”
“That’s good.”
“Roro. Perhaps eating breakfast will help.”
“Wou.”
You often needed to use the bathroom after eating.
So perhaps it would work for Roro.
And so with Hippolius, Pii, the wolf cubs, Fio, Shiro and Ije, I headed to the dining hall.
“Sorry that I wasn’t able to help.”
“It’s fine! Everyone helped me.”
“That’s good.”
When I entered the dining hall, Gisella, Kelly, Victor, Alya and the other Adventurers and scholars were there.
Obviously, dragon and Boaboa were too big, so they were outside.
As were the sharks. I suppose they were eating at Boaboa’s house.
I greeted the others and then started to prepare the food for the wolf cubs, Shiro and Hippolius.
I placed the plates on the floor, as it was easier for them to eat that way.
“Alright, you can eat now.”
“Guff.”
“…”
“Guff.”
And so they started to eat their food.
But while Kuro and Ruru were eating ravenously, Roro seemed to have little appetite.
She was eating very slowly.
“You can take your time.”
“Au.”
It would be fine if she was just eating slowly because she was sad. But if she was sick, that would be different.
And so while eating my own food, I turned to Kelly.
“Kelly, there is something I need to ask you later.”
“Hmm? You can just tell me now.”
She said as she picked up her plate and sat next to me.
“What? What? Is it something interesting?”
Gisela sat next to me on the other side.
“It’s not interesting at all.”
“Oh, I see.”
Gisela reached out and petted Roro on the back.
“What’s the matter? Not hungry?”
“Au.”
Gisela was able to tell that something was wrong at a glance.
“That’s just it. Roro is acting strange. She has no appetite.”
“Hm? But she seems to be eating.”
Kelly petted Roro and watched her carefully.
“I see.”
“While Roro is eating, she is slower than usual.”
“Eating slowly is a good thing.”
Kelly did not sound worried.
Apparently, after inspecting Roro, she determined that it was nothing serious.
“That’s true, but…”
“Still, if she suddenly started to eat more slowly, I can understand why you would be worried.”
“Right?”
“I shall examine her more thoroughly later then.”
“Thank you.”
I finished my breakfast as quickly as possible.
And then I watched Roro as she ate.
Hippolius and the other wolf cubs finished in no time.
“Au?”
“…”
‘Tummy hurt?’
“Kyuo.”
Kuro and Roro looked at her worriedly.
Even Hippolius seemed concerned.
Normally, she would stick her head into the plate and eat as fast as the others.
Ije, Fio and Shiro also finished their food, and watched Roro with worry.
“Is Roro alright?”
“I think she is… Uh, did she eat anything strange?”
‘No.’
Roro said clearly.
“So she didn’t eat anything.”
“Au.”
And while slow, she continued to eat her food.
“Should I make, different food?”
‘Yummy.’
“She seems to like it.”
“You can leave some if you can’t finish.”
Perhaps Roro was just being polite to Ije.
It was very kind, even though she was not feeling well.
Eventually, Roro finished all of the food.
“Roro. How do you feel? Don’t push yourself too hard.”
‘Not pushing.’
But Roro was moving very sluggishly.
She was nothing like her usual, energetic and playful self.
Upon seeing this, Kuro, Ruru and Hippolius did not feel like playing either.
They all watched Roro quietly.
