Strange Dragon – 191

Chapter 191 – Kelly’s Examination

As I patted Roro on the back, Fio said,

“Mr. Theo. Leave Roro to you.”
“Hmm?”
“Fio will go wash plates.”
“Ah, I see. I wish I could help too, but…”

“Mr. Theo should stay with Roro.”
“That’s true. Thank you.”
“Yes. Shiro watch too.”
“Wou.”

And so Fio went off to the kitchen.

“Ah, I’ll help too.”

Gisela also gathered the plates and followed Fio to the kitchen.

After that, some of the Adventurers, who had now finished eating, came to check up on Roro.

“How is she? Did she eat some poison red berries?”

One of the geologists asked worriedly.

He was one of the people who had gotten food poisoning, along with Victor and some other Adventurers.

And so he knew how horrible it was to eat them.

“That would be quite bad.”
“Aye.

The other Adventurers were worried as well.

‘Not eat.’

“She didn’t eat them.”

When I interpreted for Roro, the Adventurers all looked relieved.

After all, it had made a strong man like Victor suffer to such a degree.

It might kill someone as small as Roro. That was what they must have thought.

“This is worrying.”
“How are you?”

Victor and Alya were concerned as well.

Alya petted Roro gently.

“Au.”

Roro then pressed into Alya’s hand.

She was definitely more relaxed with Alya compared to the other Adventurers.

In the meantime, Kelly said,

“I don’t think that you need to be so worried.”
“Really? She does not seem too good.”
“Aye. Of course, I understand why you would be worried.”
‘Fine.’

Roro said as well.

“If that is the case, you could have told us sooner?”

The Geologist said to Kelly, a little accusingly.

The other Adventurers nodded as well.

“There is a reason that I didn’t say anything.”
“What reason?”

“Constipation.”

Kelly said casually.

“When I realized what the problem was, you were all eating breakfast.”
“Uh, thank you.”

“It’s nothing. Besides, I wanted to observe her a little longer in order to be sure.”

Kelly said as she petted Roro.

“Roro, you must drink more water.”

“Au?”

“It’s less than what Kuro and Ruru drink. And if you don’t drink water, you will become constipated.”
“…Au.”

“Mr. Theo. Some water please. Also, give some to Kuro and Ruru as well.”
“Very well.”

And so I went to the kitchen and filled a large container up with water. And then I rushed back to Roro.

I then put the water into plates for the wolf cubs.

“Drink this.”
“Au.”

Roro drank the water obediently.

“You too, Kuro and Ruru.”

“Au-au!”
‘Yum.’

“I was trying to make sure they drank…”
“Well, it was my mistake.”
“Yours, Kelly?”

“Aye. While you were helping Bemubemu and the others, I was with the wolf cubs, remember?”
“That’s right.”

Yesterday, I had left the wolf cubs, Fio, Shiro and Ije at Boaboa’s house, and went off to defeat the devil.

And so Kelly had looked after them for me.

“And so I gave them water and snacks…”
“Au.”

“But Roro did not drink much water. Perhaps she did not like the water at Boaboa’s house?”

‘No.’

As Kelly did not understand Roro, I had to interpret for her.

“Apparently, that was not the problem. Roro, were you not thirsty?”

‘Need to pee.’

“Well, obviously.”
“Au.”
“…You thought it would cause others trouble if you kept having to go to the toilet?”
“…Au.”
“You don’t have to worry about that.”
“Wou.”
“So you should drink as much water as you want.”
“…”
“Okay?”

‘Okay.’

Apparently, she understood now.

Roro was a very smart demon wolf, so it would probably be fine.

“I’m not mad. You are very smart, Roro.”
“Kuun.”

As Roro looked a little sad, I patted her on the head.

“So, what is it? Unlike you, I don’t understand what she means.”

“Ah, sorry.”
“Well, I can still guess. But you should tell me anyway.”

“To put it simple, she thought it would be troublesome for you to take her to the toilet too often.”

“…Even human children don’t worry about such things.”
“Yes. Well, Roro is very kind.”

“But it’s not good if that leads to affecting her health. So please tell her that it does not bother me at all to have to take her to the bathroom.”
“Fine. Roro. Kelly says it’s no trouble at all.”

Even without interpreting, Roro could understand most of what humans said.

But I I told her anyway, just in case there was a misunderstanding.

‘Thank you.’

Roro thanked Kelly and wagged her tail.
