Chapter 130 – Morning Bath
Like that, we all relaxed and sunbathed for around one hour.
As I started to get sleepy, Hippolius came and climbed onto my knee.
“Kyuo-kyuo!”
“What is it?”
‘There is hot spring.’
“The natural hot spring. But it’s a little far away.”
The hotspring was where we encountered the demon wolf cubs that had been taken by the false demon bear.
‘But it close by?’
“It is?”
‘Found it last time when playing.’
Hippolius often went off alone.
And since Hippolius would always run, it had a better grasp on the area.
“Boaboa. There is a hotspring nearby. Do you want to go?”
“Bubui!”
Apparently, Boaboa liked hotsprings.
I could tell that she really wanted to go.
“Let’s go then.”
“A natural hotspring. Not bad.”
“Grau.”
“Buobuo.”
Kelly, dragon and Boaboa’s child were also interested.
“Kelly…”
“What?”
“Nothing. Nevermind.”
At first, I was worried about bathing together.
But after thinking about it, I just needed to make a divider with some extra wood.
It would be quite easy to do.
And so with Hippolius in the lead, we walked towards the hotspring.
Sure enough, after about five minutes, we saw that it really was there.
It was smaller than the other one.
However, there was still enough space for Boaboa and dragon to get inside.
“There must be a lot of hotsprings in this area.”
“Perhaps it’s because of the active volcanoes.”
Said Kelly as she put her hand in the water in order to check the temperature.
“That is kind of scary.”
“Even the geologists have trouble with predicting the eruptions.”
“That’s true.”
“It could be tomorrow, a few years from now, or even a hundred years later. That’s just how it is.”
“Well, there is no point in worrying about it then.”
“Indeed.”
As we talked of such things, Boaboa and her child, dragon, and Hippolius got into the water.
It was shallow at first, but grew deeper the farther you went.
It would be dangerous to bring children here.
However, dragon and Boaboa would be fine, because they were so big.
While Hippolius was small, it could enlarge in an instant.
After seeing them go in, Kelly said,
“Alright, now it’s my turn…”
And she was about to take off her clothes.
“Wait a minute, Kelly.”
“Hmm? What is it?”
“I’m going to make a divider.”
“Hmm. Surely it is not unusual for Adventurers to bathe together?”
“Sometimes, I think you should have been one, Kelly.”
“Really?”
It was not necessarily a compliment, but Kelly looked pleased.
And so I used my crafting skill to make a divider.
It just needed to be about as tall as I was, so that you could not see on the other side.
I split up the hotspring so that it was 8:2.
The reason for this was that Boaboa and dragon needed a lot of space.
“Alright Kelly. You can go in now.”
“It’s too bad that I can’t be with Boaboa and the others. But thank you.”
“You are welcome.”
As Kelly was on the other side, I took off my clothes as well.
And with Pii resting on my head, I went into the water.
“Yes. The water is nice.”
Bathing at the base was great, but it was also nice to bathe outside.
“There is something special about bathing while it is still bright.”
“Yes. It is quite wonderful.”
Kelly agreed from the other side.
Pii also jumped off of my head and went into the water.
Like how we usually bathed, Pii floated on the water close by.
“…Buiii…”
Boaboa stretched out into the water.
“Boaboa. How is it?”
“Bui.”
Apparently, she really enjoyed it.
Dragon was also soaking in the hot water quietly.
While Hippolius and Boaboa’s child were swimming around.
“The hot water will make your injuries heal faster.”
“Bui.”
“…There are definitely various views about that. But I don’t think that warming yourself can be bad…”
Kelly said softly from the other side.
“Bui…”
“Boaboa’s child seems to like it as well.”
“…Bui…”
Pii moved over to Boaboa’s child.
It was probably going to purify the water around it.
As it was a wild animal, it was only natural for it to be dirty.
After all, they liked to roll around in the mud.
“At the base, you would have to wash off before going into the tub. But you don’t need to in a natural hotspring.”
“Bui.”
It was a place for animals and demon beasts, so they just went in directly.
As I mused about such things…
“Ah, Mr. Theo. I was wondering why you didn’t come back yet. I see that you are having fun!”
