Strange Dragon – 131

Chapter 131 – Morning Bath with Gisela and the Others

While still in the water, I turned around.
And I saw that Gisela was there.
As were Fio, Shiro and the wolf cubs.

“How’s your stomach feeling?”

Gisela had gotten food poisoning after eating a lot of poison red berries.
Even someone as strong as Victor had taken several days to recover.

“I slept for one night, so I am fine now!”
“…I see. That’s impressive.”

As always, she seemed to be built differently compared to normal people.

“Grau-grau!”

Dragon moved happily towards Gisela.
And Gisela petted him.

“Oh, I see that you are doing well too, dragon. Thank you for helping Boaboa.”
“Graau.”
“Dragon!”

While it was Fio’s first time seeing a dragon, she was not afraid. And she joined Gisela in petting it.

“Dragon. Boaboa. Boaboa’s child.”
“Grau.”
“Bui.”
“Bubui.”

And then Boaboa and her child went towards them.

“This is Fio. And Fio’s familiar, Shiro. And these are mine. Kuro, Roro and Ruru.”

I introduced them.

“Grau.”
“Wuff.”

Dragon and Boaboa started to sniff Shiro and the others.

“Wuff.”

Shiro looked a little scared, but put on a brave face in front of the younger cubs.

“Kyuun.”
“Kuun.”
“Wuff.”
However, the cubs were not scared, and were already trying to play with the dragon and Boaboa.

Gisela then petted Boaboa.

“Yes. The injuries seemed to have healed. You look very well.”
“Buo.”
“Good, good.”

And then Gisela started to remove her clothes.

“Gisela. The women’s bath is on the other side.”
“Hmm? What for?”

She was an Adventurer, after all.
Sometimes, you had to wash your body in order to get rid of a smell.
In such situations, modesty was not a top priority.
Washing in itself was a dangerous act, as you had to let go of weapons and remove armor.
And so they took turns based on a balance of combat ability, not gender.
When faced with a life threatening situation, being bare in front of others meant little.

“I understand, since you’re an Adventurer. But I don’t want Fio to develop bad habits.”

She was already raised by wolves.
And had little idea of what was normal in human society.

“If you insist, Mr. Theo.”
“You can go to the other side of the divider. Kelly is already there.”
“Fine! Though, I wanted to be with Boaboa.
“You will have plenty of time together afterwards.”
“Yes.”

And so Gisela, Fio, Shiro and the cubs headed towards Kelly.

“Oh, you have come too, Gisela.”
“Yes, I have.”
“You really are strong against poison.”
“I am!”

A moment later, I could hear splashing.
Apparently, Gisela had jumped into the water.

“Wuffu!”
Fio also jumped in.

After that, I could hear the cubs playing excitedly.
Unlike this side, where we were all relaxing, Kelly’s side seemed to be having a lot of fun.

Some time later, it became relatively quiet.
I suppose they were now relaxing comfortably in the water.

And so I called from the other side.

“…Gisela. Were you walking Shiro?”
“Yes. Shiro is especially amazing amongst demon wolves.”
“You mean, she needs more exercise?”
“Yes, yes. She needs to walk a lot.”
“I see. Thank you.”

Though, I was a little concerned that Gisela was the one to walk Shiro, when she was so recently ill.
However, I suppose Victor had determined that it was fine.

“Don’t worry! I also wanted to see Boaboa.”
“Bubobo.”

Boaboa answered happily.

“By the way, how is Ije doing?”
“Ije is planting beans with Victor and the others.”
“I see.”

Once they realized it was Boaboa who had been in the fields, they probably determined that it was fine.

“That’s right. Boaboa.”
“Bui?”

Gisela called, and Boaboa answered while soaking in the water.

“They want you to stop rolling around in the fields.”
“Bubo?”

Apparently, Boaboa didn’t know what a field was.
It was a wild Chimera, after all.

“Ah, it is a place where humans grow plants.”
“Bubo!”

I explained, and Boaboa immediately understood.
Boaboa was very intelligent.

“It is the place that you went before getting injured.”
“Bubo.”
“But if you do that, then it will ruin the crops.”

Boaboa was apologizing.

“It’s fine, since you didn’t know. But it would be nice if you could be careful in the future.”
“Buboi.”
“Thank you for understanding.”

Normally, no monster or animal would come close to the base, since it smelled of Hippolius and Shiro.
The only reason that Boaboa did was because she was too strong to be afraid.

And there were surely not many monsters who were in the same class.
And so we would likely be left alone from now on.
